Is there a preset list of possible spell targets, or can the game pick up on unit types in the map? For example, if I defined a unit classification "orc" with umswe, would the game understand that? I wanted to make an ability based on unsummon that targeted only summoned units. I tried adding summoned, Summoned, summon, Summon, etc. to the target list in the slk, but none of them worked. Summoned is a perfectly valid unit classification so it should be a permissible target... If anyone has information on this I'd be grateful. If there are preset permissible target settings, can you provide a list/tell me where I can find them please? |

I THINK unsummon building targets undead structure, not summoned.. |

Which would explain why I'm trying to change the target. Targets can obviously be changed; my question is how far can we go with the changes? This is the sort of problem always bothering me, a random piece of information that nobody seems to have. If ANYONE knows the limits on target specifying, or has a list of permissible targets(Are the ones in the SLK the only ones?) please let me know. :( |

Unsummoned has additional target rules hard coded into it. The unit being unsummoned must have its race set to undead(might require it to be structures too - I never tried unsummoning units) You can change the race of a unit in one of the SLK files, I think its in unitdata.slk but not sure. If you don't change the targerting, you need to give the unit the undead type flag as well. |

Alright, that makes it extremely difficult to do anything with then. I'll give up and use some other spell. Still, anyone know what constitutes a permissible target? |
