Can you turn normal units into heroes through their stats? I don't see an option for it, without creating an entirely new unit based off a hero.

If you can't, can anyone tell me where to modify the settings for how the unit is oriented? I am trying to create a hero boat, and when I use units based off heroes and change their model to the boat it looks like the boat is capsizing, with one end much further in the water than the other :/

No. At least I believe you can't.

Thats because of the Max Roll Degrees, change the Max Roll and Max Tilt degrees to 0 and it wont look like is capsizing.

But no, you cant turn a unit into a hero, you have to base your hero ship off a hero.

Just to make things complicated, you *could* technically make a normal unit into a hero by extracting the .slk from the .mpq, finding the unit, changing the first letter of its unit code from small-letter to capital, and importing the .slk into the map. However, hell, that's a big pain in the arse.

heh, panto, you really showed the most complicated way to do the simplest. :D
