hi, i am haven't post any pictures here before, but i thought it would be better to ask some others how i can improve my drawings. I'm not drawing for a real long time, some month ago i just always drew VERY bad pictures, but now i want to become really better... So here are my pics:

1. A landscape with flying rocks

2. A head from 4 perspectives

3. A Warrior Half Human half Spider

I hope someone answers, i'll wait for you...

They're all intresting in their own way. Some parts in them looks flat while others not, and that create a strange 2d\3d contrast; but that is an issue most people have to deal with. Judging from your style i guess you're quite young; how old are you?

im 16 i guess thats what u mean with "young" right? but im glad that u say "they are interesting" that lets me go on drawing. I have no idea about how to do shadows on clothes and what details for example to the armor to add... but im looking forward making it better after more practice...

on your spider guy you made the legs that are closer are smaller than the ones farther away... the face, he kinda looks, too skinny. i liked the uhh... floating islands i've drawn some stuff like that, but just like mine it lacks shadowing. I didn't bother poasting it because it's rare to get a reply, my advice is to find another site. My 1st post i also got the same amount of replies, and now I am usually lucky to get one so i've pretty much done here. Well if you do stay, your ideas are interesting and hopefully you'll have better luck than me.

All I can say is keep drawing and don't set time limits on your drawings. If your trying to draw realistically just keep looking at the object and seeing the difference between your drawing and the object. After you are done think about what your did and the problems you have made. Don't be afraid to use your eraser. Most of all draw daily. For shading look at how light reacts on certain objects. Try looking at objects with different textures such as hair, smooth, and objects like clay.

Ever get bored during class? We all do... and that's the best time to practice.

One other thing... and it's something that everyone says to everyone else... PRESKETCH!

Laying down the basic forms (sphere, triangle, etc.) before you start detailing really helps.

check out www.fineart.sk and specifically the andrew loomis stuff for figure drawing... but a warning, the site does contain nudity.

Oh, and welcome to the boards, try not to mind Wormskull.

Ok, Guys thx for your comments

@icbm1987: but what about wormskull? I couldnt see any reason why I shouldnt care about him... what he wrote wasnt really uninteresting. Another thing; all these drawings were done at school^^, the landscape on the back of my math-classtest :)...

@ Lord Derrag: Do u have another Page where u post your drawings? Would be nice if u could tell me... im still searching for another page, cause i think pictures like the following one dont fit into this Forum:

one little comic i drew (took much more time than the others)

I colorized it with Photoshop:

@Wormskull... and now like Wormskull told me, i will post another picture:

btw, would u always open a new thread or post the pictures always in one thread?

well pretty much everything was said i guess, ill post an easy technique to start with.

1- Do a skeleton ( slightly modified stickman )

2- Do basic shapes like Icbm said, ovals and crap like that (or you can skip this step if you think you are good enough)

3- Refine the shapes to what they are supposed to be, for exemple oval to leg

4- Go in details

5- Shade if you want or color

oh and yea seem like ill spam this everywhere, heres a skeleton example, you can modify it to add other parts

hiho im back...
once again im glad u're answering more then i expected before... thx...

@saboera: thx for ur technique, i will mind next time i draw

@wormskull: thx for ur compliment, really motivating... the rockband-comic takes just the half of the paper and im planning to conclude/continue it. About the colors, i like BW-colors much more than colorizing and i just did cause i was bored at my work experience, and i was not motivated to color every human being in that crowd. Maybe i dont like colors cause i cant differentiate collors, i can see them but e.g. green and yellow seem to be the same in my eyes. my friend was laughing when i picked my color for sand, and it was a very nice green ^^...

What i wanted to say btw: all these drawings are done a longer time ago, some older some not, but since i posted here i didnt drew anything. The day before i posted the first Pics i drew a picture, i inked it yesterday, and I will post them below... my work experience take much time, after it and after holidays i hope i can draw more but the next time i will post some older pictures they are nice too...

I hope anyone read the text up to this part right now :) ...

The first is an older one, but i like it much... it shows an samurai, praying or whatever.

The second shows the King or whatever of this Samurai sittin on his throne... I hope u can see this should be the place the guy from the first pic is sittin in front of. this Pic is just 2 days ago done, inked yesterday. I startet cause i was bored while i had to inhale stuff against my chill but i think the result is quiet good. I know the 2 posts seem to fly forget to draw something between them and the mountain or wasnt sure what would express the perspective...

In fact i love drawing with ink. please go on posting like u did up to this post ^^...

yep i should, unfortunatly video games are inner devils, after a day of hard work and thinking im attracted to it... anyway i never said im only playing WoW

its more that i am too lazy to scan my recent stuff, just to let you know, i had to buy a new sketchbook again and this one doesnt even fit in my scanner... 30,5 x 45.7 Cm (twice larger), im working on scenes creation so large paper allow me to not screw myself by drawing miniature characters in an envirronement, its fun
