Nato Operations The mod is in very early stages of devolpment! Nato Operations is a modification for warcraft 3 based around tactical modern warfare, in this mod you will probably see %100 New models and skins completely changing warcraft 3. I know this sounds like a very large feat, but i am not a leader that slacks off, i will get as much done as possible without completely relying on my team, and i will not give up for a no-good reason. Anyway, back onto the topic In Nato Operations you will not command an entire army like most RTS, rather it will be more squad based, for i feel that this kind of gameplay can allow for more realistic combat such as, capturing LZs(Landing Zones) to get cargo planes to resupply your squad with health and such. MAYBE Features: Ammo: Each unit will have a certain amount of Ammo(Mana), and every time the unit fires it will lose one(1) Ammo(Mana), if the unit runs out of Ammo(Mana) it will not be able to attack, and must resupply at an ammo cache or a cargo plane. Garrisonable buildings: There are bunkers and garrisonable buildings scattered around the maps, these "Garrisons" will originally belong to the neutral players, but units can use a "Garrison Building" Ability to take control of a Garrison and put units in it(Similiar to Orc Burrow), if all units leave a Garrison then it is back to neutral and ready to be Garrisoned by any other team. NOTE: These ideas are not confirmed to be put in, if you think these are bad ideas simply state it. Unit Types: Regular Infantry: Basic infantryman, effective against other infantry. Medic: Do i really need to explain this one? DO I?! Airborne: Airborne will be dropped from airplanes to reinforce your squad in the middle of combat. Anti-Armor: Takes out tanks'n'stuff with his... anti-tank gun, also has a weak pistol to use against infantry. Anti-Air: Carries a stinger missile to take out enemy aircraft. Added: Sniper: Long ranged, attack infantry, highly effective against infantry at long range. Added: Heavy Weapons: Uses light machine guns to supress fire and support the squad. Transport Truck(HMMWV for example): Fast but low armored transport vehicle. Armored Personal Carrier: Well armored, medium speed transport vehicle. Infantry Fighting Vehicle: Well armored, medium speed light armoured vehicle, effective against infantry. Added: Heavy Tank: Very heavily armored, slow moving vehicle, effective against vehicles and buildings. MORE TO BE THOUGHT UP LATER Screenshots: Challenger 2 MBT Well thanks for reading this all, and please join our team: If you want to sign up email me at [email protected] Or go Here Current team: Jumbo_pie Iam all alone ![]() |

Guest | Nice idea. I especially like the ammo and garrison ideas. However, you're not being very clear as to why you posted here. What is it that you want? You're asking for a team, but what kinds of modders do you want? Modelers? Skinners? If so, for what kind of jobs? Also, what is this project? A trigger map? A campaign? A total conversion (I don't recommend that one)? A melee map? Right now, we have info on the features, but nothing else. And abovbe all else: how far are you? |

Oh iam sorry for not being very clear, iam looking for a team, mainly modellers for modelling realistic low-polygon humans and skinners for the same job(skinning realistic humans), story writers, possibly concept artists, etc. basicly if someone wants to join the team we will probably accept them. And about what type of project it is, it will start out as a campaign(Mainly centered around the british), BUT if all goes well and alot of people like it we will make it into a total conversion. The project Just started, not much is done. i already got 1 unit fully skinned, animated, modeled and exported all by myself, and it was tough work but iam very proud of the results, ill post screenshots later. |

Guest | Nice website, but here is a little tip. Most people who work on project and their website at the same time often get too absorbed by the website development rather than the project. My advice is that you spend more time on the project than on the site. Even if you're alone, you can still do some work in the meanwhile. And if people see that you're working on it even without a team, then they'll probably help you very soon. |

Yeah, i didnt spend much time on the website at all, probably about 3 or 5 hours work, and i hope that if i do release enough good content, people will come. |

sounds good, i dont like the idea of it being a campaign tho, i made a similiar map called battlefield 1942 where u can enter tanks and turret like things, it uses a bullet system and has like 6-7 classes like medic, sniper etc... i am mostly done with it, but people dont seem to like it so i guess ill scratch that... anyway i might be able to help you with your project, i can do triggering and some basic modeling. |

Well the campaign is only really a "demo" to see if people like it, and when its finished, and people like it, it will be... something bigger... And exactly what do you mean "Basic" modeling? you mean you havent had alot of experience? |

i prefer to edit existing models over making models from scratch. o and the movie in my sig is from my battlefield map. |

Hmmm, i have never edited an existing(Blizzard) model, never will, make almost all of my models and skins 100% from scratch, (Sometimes i edit models my team members do for my modifications, no original warcraft stuff) And in the animation in your signature, is he firing a rocket out of his M1 garand?(Or atleast what i believe to be an M1 garand) |

i dunno why but everyone is looking for modelers... wc3sear.ch seems to have endless supply of models, yet people still ask for more. o and Thats a RPG. |

Yes but an endless supply of models that are useless to me, i want my mod to be original, and highly accurate to real life. now iam not begging for modellers, i have a good feeling i can get the mod done alone, no matter how long it takes, but modellers would speed the production up by far. |

Well it looks like my mod is never going to get anywhere, ive been trying to make it for years but the most people i have had on the team was 2 people, at two different times. so i guess this is the official cancellation if nobody wants to join, but i will probably move onto a better engine like Dawn of war or something... |
