I don't know if that was posted before (Tufy probably knows of this anyway), but I recently found some very interesting stuff in WoW mpq archives. It looks like Blizz made tons of nice custom models for human NPCs in WoW, including fat/big villagers, custom warlock and sorceress, custom Stormwind footmen and more. Below are some screens of them. I don't know why did Blizz decide to replace them by normal player models, only with different skins. I think those custom models would've brought more variety to human populated cities. Too bad it's impossible to bring them back - no WoW modding for obvious reasons. BTW, goblins either were supposed to be playable, or will become playable in the exp. pack. There are 2 gobbo models (guy and girl, obviously) in the folder characters/ (with the rest of playable races), both complete with player anims (attacks with various weapons, emotes etc.). ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Would you look at that... strange. But Blizzard and other companys often change many game details shortly before release and keep the models hidden for coming updates or, like you said, expansion packs. And the best thing is the fat one. Never saw a fat npc in wowc till now. Have you? |
