First try at colouring a picture

This is my first try at colouring a picture in photoshop, its nothing special but i hope you like it.

first time that youve actually tried or just first time you opened photoshop?

your highlights on the muscle and armor platings are in 2 different areas

Its just the first time i actually used photoshop to edit one of my drawings, i usually just use it to texture.

anyways, a little update.

nowonder why your good

theres nothing in life thats just one shade darker or lighter

try giving the flesh different colors like orange and red highlights
and the plating some blue or yellow or something like that
