Guest | I'm making a new CTF map for which I do not (currently) have a name. This map will have several trigger enhanced abilities, as well as custom items, and a few other features I'll not release just yet. Each hero also has a "Class Skill" which does not require a skill point to learn. There will be NO tomes in this game, so players will have to work relatively well together. Alrighty guys, here we go, the heroes: The Warrior-- The tank of the group...'nuff said. Crippling Aura- Slows the attack and movement speed of enemy units in an area of 900 Avatar-The Warrior gains bonus hit points and damage. More gained as the spell grows. 30 second duration (Does NOT make invuln to magic) Hardened Skin-The Warrior has trained himself to be more resiliant to damage. -10 damage from every attack, cannot be reduced below 5. (Class Skill) War Stomp-WC3 Original Draw Attention [Ultimate]-(name not final yet) A Supreme version of taunt, makes ALL units attack The Warrior with a three minute channeling time. If the hero survives, he is rewarded with 10 (permanent) bonus damage, and 100 (permanent) bonus hit points. The Scout-- The scout's job is to know everything that goes on during play. She can even set up homing beacons to track her enemies. Burst of Speed-Temporarily increases the movement speed of The Scout. Net-Sets up a permanent net which slows enemy units down. Maximum of 3 nets (1 per level). Sentry Wards-Umm...Sentry wards, last longer at higher levels. True Sight-WC3 Original (Class Skill) Homing Beacon[Ultimate]-Sets up a homing beacon on a targeted unit, pings every 5 seconds on the minimap. Useful for eliminating an annoying opponent. The Assassin-- The assassin is the hero killer of the map, she is rather weak...alone. But she can put the hurt on enemy heroes. Poison Darts-Modified Shadow Strike, next to no initial damage, but immense poison damage. Blind-Makes the targeted unit's owner's screen go black for a time. Maim-Greatly slows the targeted unit's movement speed, speed decreases at higher levels. Invisibility-WC3 original (Class Skill) Camoflage[Ultimate]-Turns the assassin into a random unit, may cancelat any time by pressing ESC. The Confusionist-- The confusionist is a master of manipulating enemies. Illusion-Creates an exact copy of an enemy unit for the Confusionist. Lasts for 30, 60, and 90 seconds. Confuse-Causes enemy units to randomly attack eachother, duration increases at higher levels. Frost Nova-WC3 original, just dummed down a bit. Hypnotize [Ultimate]-Gain control of an enemy unit permanently, -or- take control of an enemy hero for 45 seconds. Will add more as it advanced, please keep checking back P.S. Guest | Umm... i think crippling Aura is too powerful, maybe the area should be 500 instead of 900 (900 is nearly a whole screen!). Just constructive criticism. The scout should have a offensive skill i think, like Fan of Knives type or make Burst of Speed greatly increase the attack speed too. On blind, the players character should be be stunned too, so it cannot attack (Can you hit someone with a bow when you are blind? :P )... |

Crippling aura is actually really balanced, its got a VERY low buff, thus the large range. Ill give you the specifics. 2%, 5%, and 8% on attack speed, and 3%, 7%, and 12% on attack speed. And actually, I think you're right about blind...but instead of stunning, maybe just taking away their ability to attack? They could still move about, but not (really) attack if they were blind. The point about blind is to try to get your allies to group around him and hit him with everything they've got. As for the scout...you're right. She does need an offensive skill. I think maybe I'll change the Net so it does some damage as they walk through it...what do you think? |

Guest | The Net skill should be there, but i do not find out why the scout should have True Sight (Do you have invisible enemies except the Assasin?) . The Sentry Wards is unnecessary i think, the wards can anyway be destroyed by an enemy team member if they have a Scout near with the True Sight skill, change the the Sentry Ward skill to a Stun skill like stormbolt but with an arrow graphic instead or make a skill which slows the enemy dramatically. The assasins Camoflauge skill should have "Dummy" units which looks like an random enemy unit but is not it, it has the same HP, Mana & etc, but with an ability "Turn Off Camoflauge" instead to press the ESC key on the keyboard. More balance changes, or something else? (I'm not a PRO!) |

I'm going to keep True Sight to keep those pesky assassins away, but I think I'm going to switch sentry wards with a High Range Multi-Stun spell. I'm also going to update my first post with new heroes soon, as soon, in fact, as I finish working on this new hero's spells Keep it coming! |

Ok, the warrior is going to be BORING. He has: 2 passives. 1 semi-passive. 1 self target ability. 1 suicide button ? And if he survives he gets a tome...? And no one else can....? And 3 minutes channelling=Boring Long term overpowered, but boring. Nothing interesting here. Blind-Makes the targeted unit's owner's screen go black for a time. How....? Seriously, how are you going to do this without a server split? The scout - great....4 tracking spells and 1 movement slowing one, with a limit of 3? The last two are quite good, but the illusionist has only 4 spells. |

Okay, I appreciate this...but lighten up a bit, will ya? The warrior is supposed to be the tank, hes not an army buffer or anything like that. He gets hit...that's his job. Besides, he'll only be boring at the beginning, think about this: The lone warrior runs into the enemy base, grabs the flag, and gets away with it. I suppose I could change him...Give him a few new abilities, ya know? for example: Warstomp, Crippling arura, Focus (add extra damage), and maybe Avatar for the Ultimate? As for blind, it's not a very complex spell, one of the more basic ones actually, All I do is create a blackmask for the owner of the target, and take it off after a set amount of seconds. And the illusionist only needs 4 spells, all of his are castable from across the map. He's probably the most overpowered so far. Keep it comin guys, more heroes soon! |

Illusionist has no counter then. That's very bad. Counters=the essence of balance. And have you tested Blind online yet? May well cause a server split. |
