I wasnt sure where to put this but there seems to be an error when i keep trying to update 3dsmax 4 to 4.2. I have contacted discreet but they cant help me. So I want to try asking it here. The Error says Code:
16 bit Windows Subsystem Code:
C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application. After that I pressed close and the program shuts down. I made sure 3dsmax 4 was off. Does this have to do with the computer I have ? I tried to do this on my brothers computer and it worked perfectly. If anyone could help i'd really appreciate it alot. |

The easiest solution is simply inserting the Windows XP CD into the CD drive and clicking start --> Run and entering: expand X:\i386\autoexec.nt_ c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt Replace X:\ with your CD ROM drive letter. |
