Guest | Hi there, I realy would like to start making RPG maps for Warcraft III and have been trying to read tutorials and stuff on this matter. But I am a bit Dyslexic and am from Iceland so it is pretty hard for me to read the tutorials and stuff on how to begin. I have some knowlage in programming so I think the triggering would not be a big problem for me that is when I get my self started. So what I was wondering is ... do you guy's know about any tutorial with images from WE that would help me alot in getting started. For instance I cant figure out how I make a player starting area where you have to choose you hero .. just like in every RPG map. I am shure that if I would find tutorials with images you guy's will be playing my maps in the end of the week. :god_help_us: If there is no tutorial with images and such it would be great if you guy's could help me get started and I think I could figure out the rest by my self and if not I would post dumb ass questions here ^_^ Ps. play around wth the trig and scripts make a map called "test_map" and play with the trigs |

well not sure if it helps but for your starting area just make a Camera - trigger and pan it to the hero pick region for every player and then the players go from there depending on how you set up the hero region as for the actual hero area, make triggers where if a unit goes in a circle of power it picks the hero it represents for the player owning the unit. |

I hate to say it, but doing something as elaborit as an RPG to start is a little hard to do. Try looking in other peoples maps and figure out how things work. Then make a map that isn't so difficult, and once you have moved on from there, then you hit the big leagues.
