Hey, I just need some peoples thoughts of which road I should take. If you where to play a rpg what kind of character development would you like best. Thank you. Classes/Abilities 1. One main class which split off into other classes (warrior, priest, mage, etc.) depending on which abilities you picked. 2. Seperate classes at the start with seperate abilities for each class. 3. Any other ideas? |

Having multi-classes would be a nice feature if it is well developed, and interesting. Also changing classes should be a difficult thing to do. I personally would think it would be undeveloped if you could change classes quick. Each class should have special benifits, i.e. If you change to a mage, you should get like 20+ Int, and a special ability that is not a hero ability. Hope I helped ~Azhag~ |

For a Battle.Net RPG, simplicity is always best, so it'd be better to go with #2 because that's what people are used to. For a singleplayer game, #1 would be more fun if you did it correctly, but it'll be quite hard to implement. |

Multiclassing. ever played nwn? something like that. like you start out as a class and each time you level you can pick another class to multiclass as but you dont need any specifics. than there are prestige classes where you need specific requirements like from the game: "Arcane Archer" you need so many levels of ranger and a few of sorcerer. well thats the way i would go anyway. gl to ya ![]() |
