Saving upgrades to the game cache?

I need to know if is possible to save the upgrades (like armor, banshee spells etc) to the game cache, to load them later in to another map. If not, can someone explain how can i remove the "research completed" message and sound? Thank you in advance

It's possible to save the research level to a game cache, as an integer. Then you can just load the integers for the next map, and apply them as needed.

You can take out the notifications in the game interface. Replace the "research complete" message with a space, and find a sound that isn't that noticeable.
