Read that? Understand it? Good.

When you hear: "Castle Defence" what springs to mind? A slightly soulless hero-siege style map, with overpowered heroes, pointless, boring mercenaries, and dull, symmetrical terrain? Damn right. Dull, isn't it?
I plan for a new style of Castle Defence.

Has anyone ever played a map called: "Eve Of The Apocalypse: Exodus"? A more popular sequel was made, "Eve Of The Apocalypse: Twilight", which is an AoS, probably the best on battlenet, but Exodus, the original, was a castle defence, and to a certain extent, the inspiration for this map.
It was a brilliant map, with interesting terrain, a constant stream of enemies, rather then repetitive waves with boring lulls in between, and wonderful random-ish events happening throughout. One minute you'd be standing hacking at a swarm of wolves and quillboars, the next minute the trees in the castle garden had come to life and started attacking from behind you. One minute you'd be happily slaying undead, the next, the orcs would start firing grunts over the walls from their "Gruntapult". It was an exceptional map, non-stop action all the way.

Unfortunately, it was too hard for most people, and, as seems to be the curse of all the best maps, people saw it, said "Uh, it's too complicated! I have to actually READ the quest page to live! I don't wanna play it!" and went back to X-Hero Siege.

I hope to create something to follow in its footsteps.
However, there's a nasty twist which will probably render my map REALLY unpopular.
I'm using a third person camera.
I know what you're thinking, you're thinking, "EUGH! Third person camera!? It gets stuck behind trees all the time, and it doesn't follow me up hills!". I, with a little help from toot, a.k.a. InfraNe, have solved this.

THE NEW 3pCAM (Note, camera costs £300, not 3p.)
1- The camera is locked to your hero's rotation by default.
2- Problems? In combat, so your hero is stuck facing one direction, but there's a pillar between you and him? No problem! Use the left and right arrow keys to rotate it!
3- Now you want to move around again, but the camera's not locked to your hero any more. Do you have to rotate it around manually ALL THE TIME now? No! Just hit the up arrow! The camera will rotate to your hero's facing, and lock there again!
4- Going up and down hills can be such a drag! The camera never stays with you! What's this? My new camera is so loyal, it'll follow you to the ends of the earth, thanks to toot/InfraNe, my co-worker on this wonderful camera!
(Okay, I lied, that was for dramatic effect. It doesn't follow you perfectly, but it's good enough to be playable quite happily.)

Like the sound of that? I do make one promise, which is that if this doesn't work out, I'll post the full trigger code for the camera, because I don't want to see that go to waste.
Right, so, you have the basic structure, please: Post your opinion, and any, and I mean any ideas you have, heroes (all human, or high/blood elf), items, enemies (all undead, maybe a few demon), and allied computer unts (also human or high/blood elf), and random events.
I'd like your feedback on this, as right now, I really do want this map to become a reality, (Note that I said right now. Read the disclaimer at the top again before you get too excited.)

some ideas:
1: enemy heroes that when killed thet respawn later, at a higher level
2:some periodic events could be earthqaukes and meteors.

i hope this gets finished
