Imagine...

The thunderous roar of jets overhead releasing their payloads on an enemy base, just as the bombs hit the ground, an army of mobile suits using jumpjets for added speed come storming out of the base. Artillery Mechs backing them up. Fighting for the surival of their country. On the other side, Azarian MLRS's and Airstrike Teams are nailing the enemy base with fire, while their Mechs guard them.
All grows silence as a loud roar is heard...
An army of insectlike creatures armed with bionic parts comes storming down a cliffside, picking up infantry and devouring them. Destroying tanks, aircraft, and bringing down entire mechs with ease...

This is the battlefield of Steel Titans: Gods of War...

Years into the future, Earth is completely wasted, all that remains is charred ash, and destroyed buildings, Earth has been at civil war with itself over resources for years.
The UEC, United Earth Council, has an orbital space colony above Earth. Only the wealthiest of people are able to live aboard it's decks though.
After years of decision making, the UEC sends out a probe into deep space, in hopes of finding some hope of salvation, it is found. The planet Azaria. Azaria is a massive planet, covered with gleaming blue oceans and beautiful forests. The UEC decides this to be the new homeland for humanity.
10 years later, the Colony Ship, Salvation, leaves the UEC Colony for Azaria, leaving behind millions of other Earthlings to rot on Earth.
After 22 years of peace and prosparity on Azaria, a remote transmission comes in from a ship hovering above Azaria, the ship is full of Earth refuges, wishing to find a new life on Azaria. The UEC (now the Azarian Empire) shoots down the ship, and calls it "A threat to the Azarian Empire".
A group of rebels bearing Red armor, calling themselves "The Crimson Order" raid many Azarian cities in retaliation for the acts against the "Forsaken" (Remaining Earthlings)
The Crimson Order forms their own nation, Azaria refuses to admit their rebellion and label them terrorists.
An unknown colony of creatures is discovered on the moon of Azaria, they seem human-like in thought, but insect-like in appearance, these creatures, the Viegians (Vee-egg-ee-uns) are biomechanical beings that have inhabited the moon for millenia.
The Viegians attack an Azarian scoutship, this causes the Azarian Empire into a panic.
In a remote lab, the Azarian Scientist, Dr. Theradon creates a new form of AI to help defeat the Viegians, a machine that thinks and feels, he calls them "The Oridin". The Azarian Empire sends an emissary to the lab to check on this creation. After seeing it, one of the Emmisary's bodyguards pulls out his rifle and says "Noone should be able to play God, for God always wins..." and shoots one of the bots, the bot attacks him, ripping out his organs one by one, and seems to feel pleasure from it. They then self-destruct the lab by destroying all the machinery, Dr. Theradon was thought to be lost in the accident.
All of this news of rebellion and war is bringing down the Azarian Empire step by step, action had to be taken, the Empire deploys a battalion of Mobile Suits, the 117th Dragoon Unit to investigate a remote city.
When the Unit arrives all they find are destroyed buildings, not a body to be found.
After camping at the city for a night, a strange probe is seen hoving above the camp.
The next morning an army of strange mobile suits attack the camp, the suits are unlike anything anyone has ever seen. They easily destroy the 117th.
The suits are found out to be droids, leftover from Project Oridin. Apparently Theradon made them too smart...

This is the tale of Steel Titans: Gods of War...

And you are the commander, choose a side, and claim victory for your countrymen, do you fight for honor? for glory? for blood? or for survival?

Choose between the Azarian Empire, Crimson Order, the Oridin, or the Viegians, and lead their unique armies into battle...

I like the story in generally. If I was you I would probably do it like this:

... After the discovery of Viegians, Azarian empire is in panic. Now under attack from both Crimson Order and Viegians, they seek for anything that could save their Empire. Strang ely as it seems the Azarian scientist discovers an ancient site filled with technology behind their comprehension. Their scientist continue to explore the site and they discover a sort of a sealed gate, of purpose unknown. Viegians, shortly after Azarian excavation have begun, attack their excavation site, but seeing the signs on the artifacts they suddenly flee in fear. A captured Viegian soldier (or what ever Viegians have), tells Azarians of a Great Seal, which is not to be touched unless those who open it wish to die in terrible torments. Azarian seeing the fear in the eyes of the Viegians decide to stop any current exploration. Meanwhile Dr. Theradon discovers a way to activate the Seal. When the news of the exploration shutdown reach him, he is very angry. He steals a transporter and goes towards the Seal. Azarians quickly send their Dragon squads to stop him. Unfortunately he already managed to initialize gates opening procedure. The dragon squads open fire on the excavation site causing a landslide which devours the Seal and the Dr. Theradon with it.
The Azarian continue to vague their war against the Viegians and Crimson as their every move brings down their Empire step by step. Azarians deploy an army of 5 jetpack scouts to investigate a remote city #A89. Only one of the scouts returns, scared to death. He quickly passes away, after reaching the North Battalion. In his hand he carried a small holodisk. The holodisk shows the arrival of scouts to A89. Shortly after they made encampment, Viegians arrive, but their arrival is disturbed by a jet unreported presence. This presence slowly moves in and kills the Viegians, burning them alive. After slaying the Viegians aliens quickly turn to Azarian scouts. They slaughter them in the same manner, but soon a familiar voice orders the aliens to stop: “...No. Don't kill him. Leave him alive. I want him to deliver a message to them.” From the shadows steps a Dr. Theradon, horribly burned and mutilated. He looks into the holocamera with a twisted smile and softly hisses: “I have returned”. He then takes the camera and break it. This is where the holocamera report ends. Soon after this incident more report come everyday telling the Azarians of the evil that rampages through their home land, burning everything in its passing. As they burn countless cities their number seems to be increasing. Words have come that this race call themselves the Oridins.

Anyway your story is fine too,I wrote this cause I just felt like I needed some writing. This was only a mere suggestion.

Actually i messed that up, the invention of the Oridin was suppose to happen BECAUSE of the Viegians. They were invented to kill the Viegians and feel pleasure in doing so, so that they would keep killing them, but instead that system turned on them and they took a loving to killing ANYTHING.

---SPOILER--- (all spoiler text in italics)
Oh and Dr. Theradon pulls a Kane (Command & Conquer) The Oridin, revering him as their creator, use their technology and intelligence to turn their creator into a cyborg, so he gets a spiderlike body and a new look.

At the beginning of the Oridin campaign you control Dr. Theradon in human form and collect pieces to help build the first two bots (two heroes you use later in the campaign) and as the campaign progresses you control Theradon after he becomes a cyborg.

----------------
Love the idea but since Im not in charge of the Oridin I can't really edit their creation etc.

When we started the project the races were split between us (not evenly actually...) I was assigned to the Viegians, Azarians, and Crimson Order, Minigun took over the Oridin. And we really don't wanna change the story much, or else I would consider that addition.

Otherwise you are a really good writer, maybe if we ever get to an addition to the story I may call on you.

Tnx (if u were refering to me) for the story.
I can help, just send me PM or something. Besides I love making Sf (shorter) stories. BTW I made my own Resartian race and implemented some of their qualities into the Oridins (like the tendency to burn stuff). Best wishes on your campaign
