New way of playing TToR online without using b.net!

Go here:
http://www.hamachi.cc/
and download hamachi. Then install it (accept the goddamn unsigned drivers) then run it.

Now join the network TToR-LAN. Password is TToR.

There you go. Just minimize it. Now you should be able to just go into TToR on local area network and join games made by other people who also are using hamachi and a joined to the network. You can also make games yourself, and people in the TToR network can join them. It's as easy as that. Now let's get down to some betatesting!

Oh yes, did I mention it supposedly works even with firewalls?

See you there.

this hamachi thing seems... dangerous... i suggest you take off everything from ur shared stuff... like wc3 stuff and such... you dont want other ppl snooping around all ur things!

If you don't want people looking at your files then just right click my network places, select properties and uncheck Client for Microsoft networks and file and printer sharing and press ok, then none of your stuff will be shared on the TToR hamachi network.

I made some new networks, in case the current one gets full. They'll go on as TToR-LAN2 TToR-LAN3 etc. Password is the same.

One more thing. LEAVE YOUR HAMACHI RUNNING ALL THE TIME. This way it's much easier to get in touch with other players and maybe make plans for when you can play. Seeing as if you only go online for 5 minutes once in a while, there's a very small chance you'll meet others online, seeing as they do the exact same thing.

You can wait for someone to come online on the Hamachi client. If the light is green you can double click it and send a message, ask for a game, then one of you make the game on LAN in TToR and the other one joins, make sure the hoster has his ports open, works same way as on b.net. And btw, in options you can set labels to name instead of ip, that way you know easier who you play.

Hey, um, using the hamachi thing are you only able to connect to the people in your channel like, say, if i were in TToR-LAN4 and someone was in 3 we couldnt connect, right? Because i'm stuck in 4 as the others are full and i dont see anyones game.. wondering if thats because almost no people in 4..

anyways great game >=)

If I install this, can I still use Warcraft III on BNET?
