improving fast - too fast... ill have to challenge you to a draw of-- oh wait i did..... ..... yea, i can tell your having problems with the hands, cuz in the first one, theres space between the hand thats holdin the stick, which shouldnt be there and the last one, the bionic arm isnt even holding it! Your poses seem kind of flat, I dunno why but you show lots of potential |

i feel as if there is too much going on at once. sometimes less is more. you have too many weapons that make the picture look clustered/complex while you have a mediocre pose. Thats why the second picture is better than the first. It is still stiff, but better. I mentioned the mirror image of the chinese on her crotch piece earilier, and is yet to be fixed?(errr?). anyways, like worm said.. draw more. it doesnt even matter if they arent finished pictures, just sit down once and a while and pump out drawings. the more you draw, the better you become. But remember to have a variety of what you draw. No point in only drawing something a million times, and only being able to draw that on thing. |

I havent fixed the chinesse yet since i havent choose a color, i understand what you say about too much stuff going on, i must admit it was intentional however, personal choice from the original concept in my head was to make a fusion of body and weapons, i tried to add as many as i could and i designed the shoes and glove to be weapons as well hands, well on the third picture she shouldnt hold the halberd with that arm, its the other arm that hold it, dont know why i forgot the weapon should be over it, sounds like my problem is the way i create weapon before the hand itself creating a huge problem when its come to wrap the hand around the hilt, ill make some new poses, however ill keep that character instead of starting another, its the first time i even try to reproduce one of my creation, knowing your character help getting faster drawings since i can skip that precious conception phase where i waste 1-2 hours thinking of what i could do Ill pratice more, i think ill have to wait until summer before i can do some intensive drawing, my time is short... damn graphism kill my creation, after a day of drawing in little squares every thing i can thought and ''not thought'' im so wasted that i dont even bother looking at my pencils when i come home... btw that is also why i havent even started something for the draw off, i think ill do it now, i havent been to school today, however i had to search in magazines for the whole day, but after watching Ghost in the shell 2 i think im ready to take my pencils and draw again Oh and yea worm i think i should have used some other word to describe battle stance, its more like engaging battle, a fast rush attack also as soon ill be done training with different angle of view ill start expressions |

Who else could come up with a description that aproximates to "sweeping the floor with a broom while looking at a puppy, moving at a godly speed," but wormskull? I don't know how much of this will help, but I have to say that your pictures look very linear. That is, it seems that too much attention is paid to the lines and shapes while not enough thought was given to the volumes and forms. The pose in the first one simply feels wrong as the viewer gets the sense that the volumetric forms of the body were not considered when the pose was created; it looks stiff and not at all natural, beyond intentionality. Too many parallel lines break the sense of depth; the pole with her calf; her forearm and thigh; the hair and the straps and weapons on her back. The only thing to be said is that drawing as much as you can will clear up errors seen in your work. It will take time, but it will happen if you persevere. It might sound negative on our part, but think of it as constructive; asspats won't get you very far. Also, by graphism, do you mean graphic design? Because I can totally understand how that can leach your creativity and drive to draw your own things after the day is through with that. |

i guess you just all understood me within some minutes, i pay a lot of attention to shapes rather than volume, i actually fall in love with curves, no idea why however everytime i look at a drawing i get attracted toward a curvy line, i see this as beauty and yes im studying in graphic design with some of the best teachers of the province, but sometime its simply harsh, its happen quite often and it seem like we are a gifted class since they all tell ous they never got that far in teaching with any other group.. which is why we sometime have rush projects like today, create a cover for a book in 1 hour, i must say we were short on time, almost everyone finished at last minute |
