NEW INFO LOOK DOWN FOR CYAN!!(CYAN IS THIS COLOR)

I came up with this idea just recently watching Dune, how everything was ruled by the Houses and which were under the authority of the Imperial house. Also, I just got done reading the Romeo & Juliet in English Class, and I liked the House/Family war idea. So my map will use features resembling that.

Story:
7 Houses, 1 City, 1 Ruler, the time has come no sword has been drawn, no arrow has been knocked into place, only words have been thrown at each other. Blood shall be spilled over the streets of Arona, one house fighting each other. Alliances shall be made and broken, a new ruler of the city of Arona shall be made, if the Prince can not stop it he will be killed too. The Brotherhood have there own ideas, the Cardinal has broken his promise to god and is training soldiers to fight a now coming battle. No good will come from this, everyone will lose something, nothing shall be gain, except for one family who will gain the power of the city, and their eyes shall be set onto something even bigger........... TO BE CONTINUED.

What do you all think? I made this all up in 3 minutes, so I don't expect a 10, but i think its good enough for a 5+ :D.

The Game Basics:
-Well to tell the truth I havent thought that it should be singleplayer or multiplayer, and I would like to know after you have read everything else.

-There will be 7 Houses, 1 Ruling House which is the Princes family, The Brotherhood; the 3 other players will be computer and are Peasents, Rouges/Bandits, and merchants.

-Lumber shall be changed to Peasents, more peasents you have more the better, for peasents are the backbone of your family. You can train them to fight, to serve you in your house, and send them as gifts. You get more by how high your reputation is with the ruling family.

-Food shall be changed to Reputation, reputation increases everything mostly, more reputation means more servants, more merchants will want to deal with you, and more power over the city. There is a bad side, more rogues and bandits shall be attracted to you, and try to steal your gold and murder your family.

-Gold shall stay as Gold, just in case yall were wondering :D.

-A city shall be made, with land surrounding it, it will be in the Northwest, it will take up alot of the map and it might be quite big. Under it will run a river from Southwest to Northeast winding all sorts of ways. In the southeast there will be a fortress/cathedral that is where the Cardinal and Grandmaster of the Brotherhood lives. I am not that skilled terrainer, I know the basics likes I can build a city but I am not good at being detailed.

-Every house will be different, some will support more heavy shock troops, while other lightly armoured fast troops. Some might take there enemies down by assassins, others might be able to make better archers. It all depends on the skill of there Blacksmith's level, Sword Trainer's level, tell the truth I don't really know I'll think more about this and I will update it.

-Uh if I come up with anything I will edit this post and list more information here and if yall bring any more good information that will add to the game I will add it also, with your permission because it was your idea.

Team:
fhsmarine-I can skin somewhat; terrain somewhat; triggers im ok; creating units, abilities, and items good at.

Feedback:
Good wanted.
Bad please pm it to me. haha.

Interessting.

If you've read the Wheel of Time books, you may be familiar with Daes' Daemar, the Great Game of Houses. It is centered around all the noble houses, they will do pretty much anything to weave their enemies into plots and schemes that will earnthem the respect of those in higher power, and of course, power to themselves. You can basicly do whatever you want, poison their wine, hire an assasin, public humiliation, but of course, you can't be found out, or your reputation will fall. Here is an example from the book.

Let's say you are a noble who is plotting agaisnt another house. This house has found out, and they have sent you a letter inviting you to join them that evening. You now face the choice of falling prey to the most certainly planned assasination at your enemies house, or face the conciquencices of not showing up. Either way, if you let your enemy have the advantage, they will make the most of it.

A may be able to help you out, I can do mdl editing, terraining, ideas, object editing, things like that. Once again, nice idea.

I would love your help and no I haven't read that series of books, but it has caught my eye. Another series that I have read is the Drizzt Do'Urden in his earliers, forgot series name, his morther was the matron of his house and it was there goal to become one of the top 7(or 8(?)). When you fight another house it has to be planned to the last dot. For if one of the nobles of that family lives, your house is killed and destroyed in the most horrible way. Number 1 is consider top and high priestess to that spider goddess, so shes like the top dog lol. But I didn't really get any my ideas from this series.

I made a map very similar to this based of bragornal in the tobyn-ser series. Unfortunatly, people did not understand the "Diplomacy to it" sending resources, making alliances, tradeing nals(city blocks) and isntead went on an all out attack against any one and every one. Assaniations.. stuff like that.
