Tides of Blood fanart

Just recently completed a pic of a Tides of Blood hero, namely El Toro, the Sacred Cow. Anyone who doesn't know about Tides of Blood, go here and apologize.

Anyway, here's the hero:

He's kind of a joke hero, with goofy ability names like Moove! and Apocalypse Cow. When he uses his ultimate, Red Bull, he changes into this:

Took me an achingly long time to draw the Sacred Cow and about 5 minutes in photoshop to make the Red Bull. Comments welcome!

Holy cow!!! This picture really has the ewrtwenpellar(misspelling :( ?) feel to it. You are a very talented artist and I hope to see more of your work in the future.

BTW- I stumbled across you site (http://www.goldenyak.com) and heartily enjoy your artwork.

Can you please post it without the crap in the background? Its really distracting and serves no purpose.

Hrmm, these pictures are harder to read than they should be because of the repeated image in the background. I think a solid color would do these more justice.

The drawing is quite good, and the character design is rather interesting. As far as the coloring goes, more hue variation on the bull's hide would add some interest, and deliberately focusing some of those values in certain areas of the body would add more depth to the body; looks a little flat as it is now because the tone range is the same throughout.

Otherwise, great work. I like seeing them juxtaposed together as they are; forms a classic yet interesting dichotomy. Excellent attention to detail throughout. Just something about the coloring throws me a little off . . .

Zuh?

I do need a bit more practise with coloring. I've only just started doing some really serious paint work in my drawings. I think I get what you're saying about the character's body.

I thought the backgrounds would be a hit. Before they were just solid black and I thought it looked boring. I'll try playing with it tomorrow and post the results. Thanks for the feedback so far.

Juxtaposed- Put side by side

Dichotomy-two especially mutually exclusive or contradictory groups or entities i.e. ice and fire

Buh.

Well, glad you liked the backgrounds flames. Some people requested them without any background stuff, so here they are on plain black, the kindest of solid colors.

I'm trying to give a Samwise feel to my latest drawings, but like I said I need a lot more practice. I'm better at comic-book style stuff where the lineart is still visible. Giving painted pics like these a realistic outline is, I find, the hardest part of the drawing.

Yah, you might want to incorporate some more natural colors into your shading. Using warm and cool colors you could give it a much more natural feel and look. The drawing is pretty good though.

Your gallery pictures fluxuate in quality so much
you have some anime boring crap
then you have all this undead cool stuff
then its back to this weird undetailed stuff
then back to the awsomness!

but yea
erwtenpeller's style is more "roundy" and more "thick"
it does resemble his style in a way
but not quite

yea, see when there isnt a background, he just looks normal and plan. that background, like i said, makes him look really huge.

Indeed you got talent. Though, the coloring could be more... mhh... consistant. It looks too much "photoshoped"... if ye see what I mean...
