Ok it's my turn to start this one off now.
Rules:
1. No omnipotent characters
2. No unrealism
3. Must be warcraft related at all times (No using creatures from other games!)
4. Must obey other's personalities and profiles.
5. Must not stray from story too much
6. If your character dies, leaves the story, or you miss out on the RP for too long, you must create a new character and begin again.
7. All characters must be able to combat in some way, wether it be melee, casting, healing, or whatever.
8. If a race has been used before, you may not do it again. (We do not want ten elves!)
9. New rules may be added if all agree on them.
Ok, for each character, you must include the following:

Name:
Age:
Gender:
Race:
Appearance: (be specific, include weapons, clothes, etc.)
Class and specialty:
Personality:
Biography:
Likes:
Dislikes:
Starting location: (so there is no confusion)
Misc:

here is mine.

Name: Salazar Shara
Age: 11, 248
Gender: Male
Race: Naga
Appearance: A tall, powerful naga, very similar to a myrmidon, only less bulky, but far stronger. Wields a long bladed polearm made from a stave. This can be used for casting spells as well as melee combat. Has only chest, shoulder, wrist, hand, and waist armor, all made from an underwater mineral called Resquium. Has a long scar across his chest. Very handsome for a naga.
Class and specialty: He is like a royal guard, melee combat and spellcaster, summons sea elementals and can use various other spells.
Personality: Very sinister and cold.
Biography: That will be written in my inroduction.
Likes: Power.
Dislikes: Night elves.
Starting location: An island near the Maelstrom.
Misc: N/A

--------------------------------

Salazar Shara loved power. Ever since he was a night elf boy, he had always loved it. Whether it was bossing around the younger night elves, or when he hunted, Salazar had a hunger for power. It was perhaps for this reason that he joined the Highborne under queen Azshara. For this reason, he never left the Well of Eternity, even during the Sundering of Azeroth. This resulted in nothign more tahn he being thrown into the sea, and becoming one of the naga.

This lesson however, did not stop his hunger. Salazar still thought he could obtain power by becoming Lady Vashj's greatest leiutenant. He trained for thousands of years and helped the naga through their war against the Murmoscs, greater and more deadly cousins of the merlocs. He fought for his new queen until the day they were called to the surface.

Salazar Shara believed Illidan, whom he had worked with during the War of the Ancients, could give him the power he so wanted. This was why he followed him and the rest of the Highborne descendants to Outland and even to Icecrown Glacier. But, Illidan could not deliver the power he promised. The naga and the blood elves were driven back to Outland with nothing. All but one.

The Highborne had cursed themselves when they fought with demons. They were punished by being thrown to the sea, exiled by the druids, having both of their homes lost when Silvermoon and Arguia fell to stronger forces, and then being crushed by the undead and forced to a desolate wasteland where they had noting to look forward to every day except pain and sorrow. The Highborne never recieved the power they thirsted for. In order to get power, one must break away and take it for himself. Yes, Salazar Shara loved power.

-----------------------

Salazar stood on the coast of the island where he had stayed since his long swim from Northrend. He did not know how he would find the power that had so long eluded him. But, he simply decided to wait for a sign that showed him where to find it. As he sat waiting as he had done for almost four years, an owl flew past. a night elven owl. Salazar would follow it from the sea.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Ok, there is mine, I'd write more about where he is going, but I don't know where anybody else is.

johnfn
NAME: johnfn
AGE: ~1000
GENDER: Male
RACE: Undead
PHYSICAL DESCCRIPTION: Dark looking skeleton guy with a tattered cloak. Instead of walking he just sorts of glides everywhere. His eyes burn with a blue fire behind his skeleton face.
PERSONALITY: Responds to people cooly. Is always thinking about what present actions will have on the future state of being.
CLASS AND SPECIALTY: Lich, ice spells.
SMALL BIOGRAPHY: Was raised by the Lich King himself as a loyal follower. However, as he grew older and wiser, he slowly started to sever himself from the dictation of the Lich King. He has now cut off all communication with the King, and is working by himself.
MISC: He's a freelancer, so every now and then he might just go off and do his own thing. (This depends on how much time I have to the computer a day :P)
Likes: Cold.
Dislikes: Warm, most other undead.
Starting location: Northrend

Johnfn stood upon a cliff in the icy Northrend. Bitter winds swept the land but he noticed not. He felt some sort of tugging on his mind as if something was calling him away... away from his homeland, and further south. He never really liked warmth. But something was talking to him, it seemed almost telepathic. Some greater force, and what choice did he have? He made his way south. Something was going to happen, he was sure of it. Something of great importance...

I said I would make the thread, but oh well. I guess when I say I would do something, I guess other people see it as the idea that I wanted them to do it.

It's not that big of a deal... is it? After all, there is no big difference except that his name appears under the thread instead of yours. And are you going to RP?

Fair enough, but know I will probably try to kill you :D

------------------------

Salazar followed the owl for hours at the speed it flew at. Salazar could easily match it with his swimming. He arrived at a marsh where he could no longer follow the bird. He noticed a human sign. He had learned human when he fought with the blood elves. "Dustwallow Marsh" Interesting.

Salazar sunk into the swamp waters. This was his element. He waited for someone to come close enough for him to attack. The first one to come near him was an elf trying to get lumber for Theramore Ilse. Perfect. Salazar leapt out of the water as a fish jumps out of the sea and used his superior fighitng skills to plummet into the elf, weapon pointed. The poor elf never saw it coming. Salazar collected the loot from the elf and sunk into the swamp once more, waiting for a more formidable opponent...

lol. Yeah, the naga and the night elves always hated eachother.

NAME: Themis Quatozle
AGE: 26(I want to make him older)
GENDER: Male
RACE: Half Human and Elf

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: He wears a leather mantle. He has the face of a Priest in Warcraft, his weapon is a staff that was pasted down generation to generation, never losing it's original shape, becuase of the family skill.

PERSONALITY: He helps those who are in need most of the time, because seeing a task not being done is something he doesn't like. He knows when to stop, and when to keep on going in all kinds of situations. He holds no racism towards othes of any race. He is more of an observer then someone who is likely to get involved. Only when he is needed, he'll do something.

CLASS AND SPECIALTY: He is a doctor and mathmetician. His family thaught him the one-of-a-kind "Still-Life" arts, which is magic used to makes pictures and sketches become reality only by using mana and applying pressure at the palm of his hand, onto the picture. He takes pride in his job as both a doctor and teacher.
SMALL BIOGRAPHY: At the age of 6, his parents and grandparents thaught him the traditional "Still-Life" arts. He used to be a teacher at the Kirin Tor, teaching Calculus, pre-Cal, and nursing, and health, but since he has come to The Barrens, he has only been traveling, not wanting to stay with his own people. He had hopes that his abilities as a teacher and a doctor would prove him useful to other ethnic groups. He is also very open to ideas. He personally loves to draw, read, and use his math skills, because they have to be pasted down from generation to generation in his family, in order for "Still-Life" to work. He never knew why Humans had to hate the Orcs, and was always beat when he asked that very question. When he was 9 years old, he made an oath in front of his village that he will never be a person who hates other for the way they look, even if he died by them. He loves to learn, especially from others.

MISC: He prefers to stay single.

Likes: To aid others, people with confiedence, loves to write, read, and use his well honed math skills, all ethnic groups, and the outside world.

Dislikes: People that disrespect their parents and ancestors, drinking alcohol, misers(greedy people), racism.

STARTING LOCATION: The Barrens

Okay... so what's our plot?

____________________________________

Yes... being a doctor isn't all of what people dream of it to be. Themis is one good example of a high-class doctor, but a low priority to a lot of people. Although he is respected as a doctor, he isn't for who he is. Wiether if he was treating a small wound, to a mauled person, he was just always a doctor, not to do anything but do what they are called to do. He wanted to be more then just a doctor, he wanted to do something more.

He wanted a sign... and was waiting for one for 10 years. Until he noticed that a strong wind swifted north, because the wind was just blowing south. He grew drawn to the strange wind. What could he do? The only sign that he's see was this one, and there was nothing else to do... but to go north, up into the unknown...

I suppose this is where we are going. If not, I'll edit it later.

Sorry NightArcher and DH, I guess I got too impatient, wanting the RP story to happen faster. :P

I'll wait from now on.

The plot will develope in time, but do you guys think we should have an event or something that will guarantee a story? Perhaps we should just continue on here and actually POST THE STORY, then we will eventually end up with some kind of a goal, like finding something or killing somebody, or escaping some place. I do not know. just post.

And we aren't really headed anywhere. We could still join together, but please just post more of the story, I would, but I need somebody to show up in Kalimdor. Johnfn and Azhag are both headed my way, so one of them can join up with me.

I like the 7 key and tome story, but I guess we just couldn't finish.

Took me about 30 seconds to make it up. I could whip up another one, but I'd like to see what happens when we all act like normal warcraft characters and see what we come up with.

Pyrus
Advice: make two threads. The first for signing up and any other comments, the second for the actual role playing AND ONLY THAT. That way the story is coherent and uninterupted. Also, turn off sigs for the story thread.

Give people some time to create characters, a couple days at least.

It's also important to have some sort of idea what you want to happen. I'm not telling you to declare the plot at the onset, but at least guide the story in that general direction. One idea could be the third coming of the burning legion. Now what the PC's do is entirely up to them. This way the RP is more attractive than just creating characters and ploping them at random locations around Azeroth.

An alternative is to create battle scenarios. Create a location, and the PCs gather to it and fight against each other. They make and break temporary alliances, and collect the rewards in the end. Afterwards you create a new location and start all over again.

Dont just call them RPs. Give them titles, its a story after all.

Keep in my mind that most people have lives outside of WC3C, and can't afford to post 5 times a day.

Pyrus, I could do that, but I'm going to simply wait and see what happens here when everybpdy has their own characters. If the story seems weak, I will be sure to guide it in a more interesting direction. I have plenty of ideas for the story, But they all require more members. JOIN ONE, JOIN ALL!!! Why don't you join, Pyrus? I will not let this thread die so easily.

Pheonix-IV
Hah, been ages since i had a good text RP.

Name: Ahzl'Maksihr (Also goes by the name of Darkscream.)
Age: Ageless (Very Very Old)
Gender: None (Male for purposes of gender related subjects (It was his blade))
Race: Voidwalker
Appearance: Standing approximately 9 feet tall, the exact shame of Darkscream is hard to make out as huge clouds of billowing shadow envelop his figure. Every now and then a glimpse of pure undulating darkness can be seen through the clouds. Built similar to the Voidwalker in WoW, two thick arms end in razor sharp claws that drip with a black poison. Amongst the clouds a pair of burning eyes can be seen, their unholy fire searing through the darkness. Darkscream bring with him a sort of night, causing any area he is in to glow with an inner darkness. (Think night-time with a full moon, how shadows and stuff seem all over the place and moving, everything looks different and distorted.)
Class and specialty: Illusionist\Anti-Mage - Speciality is creating complete and utter chaos in a targets mind. Can make large groups of people see things that are not really there.
Personality: Shadowy and recluse. Darkscream ventures forth from his hidden home only to feed on sources of magic.
Biography: Drawn to Azeroth when the Burning Legion first invaded. Darkscream came through a tear in the Void to feed upon the vast source of magic that was the Well of Eternity. However, mere days after he entered the Physical plane the Well was shattered with Darkscream nearly right on top of it. The magical blast fused him to the Twisting Nether and the power of Azeroth, trapping him upon it for an eternity. Now Darkscream hides in amongst the craggy peaks of the Maelstrom and uses its magic to travel nearly anywhere in Azeroth.
Likes: Magic, lots and lots of magic. He eats the stuff.
Dislikes: Light, Sun, Holy Powers
Starting location: Twisting Maelstrom. But can travel to just about anywhere very quickly.
Misc: Darkscream has a history of terrorising outlying villages of Humans for ages in his search for magic. Darkscream is also known as El'Izeli Naei (The Living Night) by the Night Elves. When the Orcs invaded Azeroth Darkscream was instantly drawn to the Portal and Gul'Dan clashed with the Voidwalker several times, eventually giving the beast the name of Darkscream. (For its method of attack, attacking in the deepest of the night, often all that was heard of its victims was a scream as they were engulfed.)

------------------------------
Darkscream stared out of a crack in the rock at the Naga ascending his mountain. The Naga reeked of magic, she was saturated in it.
Another Sea Witch who believes she is strong enough to best me.
The thought slid through his mind like a snake. Darkscream oozed through the cliff, his movements slow but purposeful. As the Sea Witch entered one of the many caves, Darkscream slid down into the cracks in the cieling and watched as she looked around her in ovbious relief.
Foolish to come to my realm
Foolish to challenge me...
...
Wait... Watch... Feed...

Darkscream followed the progress of the Sea Witch through the cave system, watching her surprise as she discovered its length.
Soon, very soon.
Finally the Witch stopped at an intersection of three different caves. She sent out her power, searching for any sign of Darkscream.
Realising this was his time, Darkscream solidified out of the roof and projected images of shadows leaping from the walls around the Witch. Caught off guard she unleashed several bolts of lightning at the Phantoms, but the lightning merely earthed itself harmlessly in the rock.
Dropping down upon the Witch with barely a sound, she was suddenly engulfed by Darkscreams shadows. Unable to see a thing and with her magical senses blinded by his proximity, she sent off blast after blast of lightning all around her, believing she was under attack by some kind of shadow army. As each bolt vanished into the shadows Darkscream absorbed its energy, feeding upon the magic of the Sea Witch.

It was all over in seconds. A scream of terror and pain echoed out of the cave and cut through the normal roaring sounds of the Maelstrom for a few seconds. And then, as the shadows retreated once again into the walls they revealed a small pile of bleached white bones.
All that remained of the hapless victim.
