heh teh awesome. Keep drawing from life or ref and you will improve like crazy. Don't forget to anaylze what you see. Don't just copy mindlessly. Its not so much the end product, but the knowledge you gain from the process is most the important. When ever i feel confused (which is always) or feel like a copy machine I repeat these words, Line(poportions),Shape,Form,Value,Color,Texture, Space(perspective). 7 basic elements. Every object in the real world has all of these elements. I don't know it helps me. ^^ |

Draw more. The horse needs a little work, as does the snake. but good nonetheless. A drawing i did of a horse can be found here: http://www.wc3campaigns.com/showthread.php?t=70007 Its not all that good, but it may help just a little. |

1. post smaller pictures please 2. I notice that you smudge your hatching. That's wrong for you now, sience I notice you're not very advanced, 'cause first of all you don't master the "smudging" technique (wierd spots all over) and second you must first develop your usual hatching style. And it's more advanced to create the smudge effect just with hatching than with smudging. So keep it up. Try to study proportions and to construct what you see, don't make the outline just like that (don't know if you do that or if you don't, but if you do, stop doing it and start constructing; first the skeleton and the geometrical shapes and then the actual covering). |
