Players - 4 to 12 Story: In the lands of the east there exist two superpowers. These countries are jockeying for control of the eastern land. In their struggle they discovered a western continent. Seeing its potential strategic value, they both send colony ships to the western continent. Unbeknownst to the superpowers, roving tribes of hunters inhabit the western lands. The colonies take hold, but there is talk of splitting away from their respective motherlands. To sum the backstory up, it's like World War II crossed with the colonization of the Americas. 'Races': The Superpowers have established infrastructure, but they are more suceptible to morale changes and have to worry about constant attack from the other Superpower as well as the colonies revolting. The Colonies have more stable, positive morale because of the optimism these colonists feel about their new home. Their units are weaker than the Superpowers' units but their citizens are more patriotic and thus are more likely join the military reserve. The Natives have more powerful units than either the Superpowers or the Colonists, since there are fewer of them. They must kill animals to create food to live. When they achieve high enough levels of favor with their respective gods, they can summon avatars: incredibly powerful god-incarnate sort of creatures with a great number of abilities. Object of the game: Eliminate all your competitors. If the colonies stay allied with the superpowers, this means eliminating the other superpower's colonies as well as its main base, and killing all the natives. If the colonies revolt, the game becomes more complex because they must fight their respective superpowers, any colonies they do not ally with, and the natives. The natives are trying to get the colonists out of the west, and after that is complete they can sail to the mainland, and mount an attack on the superpowers (with the powerful avatars, this is quite possible). Types of Units: For the Colonies and Superpowers, there are four classes of units: the infantry, the air forces, the naval units, and the mechanical units (this entire map is set in a sort of steampunk world, ie planes and helicopters and guns and rockets and so forth, but powered by primitive means and built with wood and iron and brass). The infantry are useful in the beginning of the game, the navy is useful for fighting rebelling colonies or overbearing superpowers, the air units aren't powerful enouh to rely on and act as support, and the mechanicals are divided into tanks and mobile suits. I havent decided on the Native units yet, I was waiting until I had the Colonies and Superpowers finished. Features: Morale (raised by killing, lowered by disasters and losing units) Military reserves (dictated by morale and population, required to train units) Residents (civillians inhabit your residential areas and pay you taxes) Weapon systems (mobiles and gunboats can buy weapons that automatically fire at enemies. Think battleships, but more realistic weapons) Bombs (Aircraft can buy a compliment of bombs and fly over the enemy base carpet bombing them) Tutorial mode (This simply helps newbie players along by explaining to them how morale and reserves and civillians and etc work) Progress: Terrain is done, and is only mediocre as I am a mediocre terrainer. All the colony and superpower units are finished, but remain unbalanced as I have noone to play with. Bombs and weapon systems. The whole tax system is complete. Morale is complete I think, but I again cant test it without dedicated testers. The reserve system is done, but as with the morale, it hasn't been tested. The Food and Favor systems for the natives have been completed. The initialization triggers are done. How you can help: I need help with multiboards, this can't be stressed enough, as a player cannot determine his morale or reserves or civillians or anything without multiboards, and for some reason I simply can't get multiboards right. I need some testers. I know this goes against the faq, but I don't want to progress without making sure the systems I've triggered and havent tested are working properly. Triggerers are always welcome, as I've learned I'd say 50% of what I know about triggers from this map. Anyone willing to improve the terrain. Anyone who can provide ideas for the natives. So, if any of you want to help, IM me at Hobocore5 on AIM or post here. If you want to see whats done so far, then tell me how you can help and I'll send it to you to examine the triggers and/or play as much as is possible right now. I'm on US East, and any actual dedicated testing is most appreciated. |

No, it's all done with the existing wc3 units and skins. For example, I use the Spellbreaker as a melee mobile. |

This sounds kind of cool. How big is the map, I could have a crack at improving the terrain. |
