Mechcraft - need beta testers

I have been working on this map for a while now and there is now a version to test. Here is some info on it.

You will start with a Swampfox mech at the beginning. You can kill enemy soldiers, which spawn every 40 seconds or so if there isn't too many of them already, to level up your mech and get gold to buy items. Your mech can have as many weapons as you can afford, only limited by how many inventory slots it has.

There are three modes you can choose: Defend Your Castle, Capture the Flag, and Control Points. I will add new modes if they are original and fun.

Defend Your Castle
Both teams get a 10,000 hitpoint castle in their base. The first team to destroy the other team's castle wins.

Capture the Flag
Flags are spawned at both base entrances. To score, you must steal the flag from the other base and bring it to your own. You can choose game lengths between 10 points, 15 points, and 25 points.

Control Points
There are three control points on the map. The middle one is randomly given to either the blue or red team. Every 30 seconds you team will score 1 point for every control point your team owns. You can capture a control point by reducing its hitpoints to 50%. Game lengths are 40 points, 80 points, and 120 points.

In this test I am looking mostly at these things:

-What happens when a player leaves with the flag on his character? It should reset the flag.
-Does voting work?
-Are there any typos?
-Are there any exploits in the map?
-Any bugs?

New version! 1.31beta

New things:
-Fixed red return flag typo (said blue flag).
-Added four new weapons: flamethrower, homing missiles, anti-air rockets, and shockwave cannon.
-Added random weather effects.
-Added more detail in the terrain.

Right now the map is fully playable, but I want some more opinions on it and I want to make sure there really are no bugs before it is officially released. Rep points will be given to anyone who tests and provides feedback.

New version! 1.32

If no one finds a bug in this one, I will officially release the map.

New things in 1.32:
-Players now get 500 starting gold.
-Added new mech: Automated Repair Unit. It has an aura-like ability to repair other mechs. 500 hitpoints and 2 inventory slots, so it's a support mech.

I am having a trouble... every time I click start game it just reels the screen up and comes back down and has me click start game over and over and over but will never start.

I doubt it's because of the map. Does the same thing happen with other maps? Do you have the latest patch? Do you have the expansion (The Frozen Throne)?

AWSOME i Fixed it. I think i found something not so much as a bug but the pricing

of one of the wepons. When you go to the MIthril wepons the machine gun is

priced alot lower than the Mithril cannon but when you add everything up the

Mithril Cannon does 55 damage and the machinegun does 65.31 damage if it had

the same reload time. I havent checked the other guns thats jus the one i

noticed. (Hope this helps )

I think this is a great game that u made and I love how u can have diffrent game plays. (i personly like the capture the flag)

There are two reasons I did this. First, the cannon has longer range. And second, and I would appreciate if someone could verify this, the mithril machine gun's weapon would be greatly reduced by armor (if I'm correct 8 armor on some mechs would reduce the damage by probably half).

I bumped the cannon's damage from 55 to 65. It is now pretty even with the mithril machine gun. While the cannon has 100 more range, the machine gun can finish off enemies faster (ie. a cannon would hit someone and leave him at 12 hitpoints while he kills you, a machine gun would finish him off faster).

As for the armor problem, the skills are basically useless if they don't reduce damage. I will also try to fix that in a future version.

I am also adding an Armadillo vehicle. It's basically a tank. It will be the first rare vehicle. It has 900 starting hitpoints, 5 inventory slots, and costs 5000 gold. It can also lay mines (500 damage within 200 range and 250 damage within 400 range). I would like some opinion on it. Do you think it is too powerful? Maybe the inventory slots are a bit over the top, although other mechs can also achieve 5 weapons (Dune with 4 slots and weapon ability).

I thinkt he 500 damage is over the top... I think it should be more like 300 (max) and 125 for start. I think u should make like a sniper one that has 1200 range and 100 damage but a 10 sec cool down. When i have been playing with friends it just seems like its just my guy vs. his guy; i think u should also make the units who help respawn a little faster or have more guys respawn.

That's also a good idea. Not those exact stats, but I will see what I can come up with. 100 damage for 10 seconds is too low. That's 10 damage per second.

This map is mostly meant for player versus player. The soldiers are for levelling up (well, they do manage to kill a player or capture a control point once in a while). I don't think I will be increasing their numbers.

Version 1.33 is ready!

New things:
-Added Armadillo vehicle. It is the first rare vehicle. It can lay mines.
-Added game tips. They are displayed every 2 and a half minutes.
-Added version number in top right.
-Added a new rare weapon: grenade launcher (1400 range, 200 damage, 10 second cooldown).
-Added day/night cycles (just for looks, night doesn't reduce sight).
