Possibly you noted something different on the forum? I reorganized some stuff of the developer's corner, the old trigger haven is now the root of a wc3 coding section. The root of the section should be for questions about the Trigger Editor or the AI editor. Subforums:

Heavy restructuring taking place, I see we have new leadership. Well, the changes seem completely logical, so good job. There's one thing that remains a bit odd, but it's more complicated as it's an issue between different sections. The "team gathering" forums under the Main Hall and the "maps in development" and "completed maps" under general development are all forums for users to discuss their projects. It seems like they should belong together in some way. |

Wow, Vex, you seem to have been plotting for a long time the things you were going to do when you come into power. The section has been reorganised in a single day! :) Just be careful that with all this cross-referencing and segmentation of the forum structure, you don't supress the thing this structure is supposed to serve, the forum discussion. It's equally user unfriendly if you have to click through a bunch of links to get to the topic you want as is having all the topics unorganised in a single forum. I was meaning to comment that map projects is a superflous forum, but I see you have now transfered all the topics from maps in development to it. Maybe you shouldn't link to "map team gathering" from there, but to it's parent forum instead, the "campaing/team discussion"... I don't know why that forum has the "team gathering" subforum anyway, as they both seem to be intended for posts about projects needing help... perhaps an issue that should be raised with the local moderators there... |

I can now say that the fragmentation is done and it will not get worse from now. Anyways, I don't know about "Campaign/Team Discussion" It is more focused on campaigns it seems , Let's see how map team gathering works by now. The beta test section was something that was needed I think because Some people would just want to find maps instead of seeing a lot of maps in development propanganda. The other new forum is the System/Spell Requests , if that forum doesn't get enough posts within the next 10 days, I will move the stuff from it to the trigger / AI / JASS forum . The other stuff added were links, just in the hope it allows people to mantain in the topic they want to be. If they don't help I will remove them. The plan is to make general development the place for questions like objects/gameplay constants / game interface / tileset editor / loading screen and that stuff and move the Map Projects forum to be a subforum of the Developer's corner. But it all depends on the results of the poll I made. The structure of the Campaigns forum would depend on the other admins. |
