Having pitch black?

Is there a way to make a pitch black terrain? I was planning on making something... but I can't do it without a pitch black terrain. "Boundries" won't work becuase it's still visible, you see.

I could edit the screen shot after I had saved it, but there is going to be things floating around and the whole screen will look messy. Trust me, I'm not a good editor when it comes to pictures. o_O

Abyss doesn't work if you have a sky or fog visible (unless the fog's black) because the color shows through the spaces between the tiles, try it out and hit V for game view to see what I mean. Still, the Abyss tile is probably your best bet.
