Campaign doesnt load!!!..Help plz.

Hi, I'm new here..and I downloaded a few campaigns...

Alisha's dragon I think it's called and also the SpiderQueen one...in the process of doing Hero RPG one..

Anyways the first two I downloaded didn't work...they don't load up.


Is it because I have Warcraft 3 ROC and not the Frozen Throne?

Coz I noticed when I downloaded the campaigns my downloaded ones had an extension of .w3n wheras the campaigns/maps that are already in the game have an extension of .w3m

I renamed the two i downloaded to .w3m but they still didn't work.

I'd really appreciate some help for a newbie here.

P.s I made a campagin folder in the maps folder and have been doing it from there but like above, no luck.

It is probably becuase you don't have TFT...

Also, as a side note, post topics like this in the General Development forum... I don't mean to be rude or anything... better I get to you then a mod.

Yes, you need TFT for this, once you install it you also get a special campaigns folder where you put your custom campaings. this are not map files, so renaming it to w3m doesn't help a bit, the expansion's map files have the .w3x extension. Campaigns are whole collections of maps.

to make your problem short, RoC does not have the button called "Custom Campaigns". :D

Hello, everybody! I'm new here. I have the Frozen Throne and I downloaded some campaigns, .w3n files, like the Return of the dragon, The lich king, etc., but they didn't work. They stopped by loading. o_O I have some RPG games, but even they don't work. After starting them, the game put me back to the main menu or to the Windows! The original melee maps worked, the .w3x files, but not the bigger ones. :( I haven't downloaded any tools or patches, I don't know, what I can do. Not having any patches might be your problem. Blizzard upgraded the World editor with new functions after the TFT release with some of the patches. It is possible that the maps you are trying to play use these functions and that might be the problem. Try upgrading to the latest patch and then try again.

You were right! I've downloaded the 1.18a TFT patch and it works! Thank you!
