making a nice river/lake

hey all, im currently trying to make a river/lake in my map, im sure i read somehwre(cant remebr where0 how to make nice lakes etc, ive spent a little while trying to find the thread and i cant :( could anyone lend us a hand in the art of making a nice river/lake. thx for any help!

Here you go:
To make rivers and bodies of water with smooth edges, make sure that Advanced>Enforce Water Height Limits is unchecked, and then paint deep water over the area where the river will be. Then, paint over the water using the "Increase One" terrain tool. Now you have plain ground with water underneath it (crazy!), so you can use the "Lower" tool to slope the ground into the water, making a nice river.

it's in the tips of the trade thread. anyway, start your map with shallow water and height it using the height tool and that's it. oh don't forget to use rough on the water then smooth those edges huh?
