Guest | A friend and I just read the first 2 books of the Warcraft: War of the Ancients Trilogy (third book not out yet) and we think that we could turn it into an amazing AOS map (like DotA but better). We both have some experience in the map editor and we can make the map and items and all that no problem. The problem is neither of us are real great at the trigger work. And as just about every good AOS map is protected we can't open any to learn from the triggers. So we are wonderin if there is any dedicated people that can help us with trigger work for this map. If you would like to know more about what we have in mind for the map before you agree to help, just post here and i will be in touch with you ASAP. Other than someone skilled in triggers we need will soon be requesting for ideas for spells and such from the community (any ideas are welcome). Hope to hear from you soon. |

Read the FAQ. Seeing the size of that post, I think I am safe to direct you to the FAQ. |

No i don't want someone to make it for me. Me and my friend plan to be the lead MAP makers and item designers however neither of us can figure out much about the warcraft 3 trigger system and as i have found no extensive tutorials and like i said almost every map out now is protected we can hardley learn them. So i am saying i want to put together a team so we can attempt to make a map. Not everyone can trigger but that does not mean I cannot do anything else. O yea and Lockie your the one that recomended that i post this here? check it out http://www.battle.net/forums/thread....hreadID=178246 Quote:
Just read the FAQ and I don't see anything there about post length... could be missin it, Sorry if i am but i don't see it. |

I wrote the FAQ. I know what I wrote in it :P Even though it says nothing about the size, it is easy to see on the size of your first post that it is missing certain information; what that information is, I don't know, I haven't read your post. |

http://www.wc3campaigns.com/faq.php? EDIT: oooo, so thats why i am so confused, i was in the wrong FAQ lmao. Well if you want me to post all that information it will be at least several pages long and will include a diagram of events... will have to write it all up first. don't know if you really want a post that big though... I would think people would rather read my brief post and request information than have to sit there reading a post for half an hour to understand the game.... they could simply say, hey man the map sounds cool but what feature will it have. idk just my opinion. |

Haha, you just dug your grave. Your starting an argument with a mod. not a good zone you want to be entering. People don't want to join a project they know nothing about, so yes, I would read a half a page worth of information, besides I read most of Fladians posts. :P Sry Flad. Fladian has been around these forums for a good time now, and I think he knows what he is doing. I am the warning, he is the threat. Do not tell someone who has been around this long, that he is doing something wrong. I suggest you edit your post now before someone like Dorelian comes and puts you in your place. ~Azhag~ |

dude, be like everyone else and screw around with triggers until you start to understand it, then try to make some really simple (probbly really lame) map. Not many people are going to take the time to teach other people how to use triggers. You have to learn how to use triggers by yourself. It's alot like punching a brick wall. you have to keep at it to do any damage (aka learn something). Basic Triggers are one of the most nesesary things to learn in Wc3. I wish you luck on your map, but i don't think it will go anywhere. and i know that sounds really cruel and i bet i'm coming across as a total jackass but take my advice and learn your basic triggers, everyone should learn at least the basics. and as for why i don't think your map will go anywhere, well, for one AOS type maps have become old, try to think of something new that hasn't been done before. And it seems as if you kinda have a bad mark already with flad... and i don't think others would like to experience the wrath of the "fladinator". ;) |

The "Fladinator", are you still calling it that? Anyway, there is no need to become so mad at him. It's not like he did something seriously wrong, he just forgot something, I can live with that. Quote:

Guest | Alright guys plz stop jumpin on me. I didn't come here to start a fight and i wasn't tryin to fight with Flad... i was simply stating i did not see something in a FAQ that he said was there, and i had a good reason, i was in the wrong FAQ lol, and sry about me expressing my opinion. Sheesh didn't say u had to listen to me was just given u my thoughts, had no idea everyone would go nuclear on me. This is the first forum i have ever seen that doesn't care if you post really long posts. All other forums i go to request that you say what you want clearly but briefly as possible and then anyone that wants to know more may request more info. I should have read the FAQ right from the beggining maybe, but i wasn't thinkin about it at the time, and im sure that not many of you go to a site and the first thing you look for is a FAQ so plz stop yellin at me like im a big screwup . ![]() |
