1. Is there a way to make this ability an activatable ability with a duration? 2. If I were to change the [Data - Chance to Reduce Damage (%)] field, would there be a way to detect when it works (as in when the damage is reduced)? |

You can't make an ability such as that because it requires enemy targets. You could make a dummy ability that will enable Hardened skin when the dummy ability is used and disable it when the duration ends. |

Alright, thats fine, but I take it then there is no way to detect the damage reduction? My idea behind this was going to be an ability on an item (a shield). I sort of wanted to make it show block in the same red text as miss (with floating text) when the damage is reduced. |
