I never said I was going to make it, it's just an idea! I'll call it: "Zodiac Saga" As the name says, this will deal about the 12 zodiac signs that currently exist in Astronomy. Well, it's an AOS, so there will be 2 teams fighting eachother. The way to win is the traditional 5v5 and kill eachother. So as you should know, here are the signs. There will be 15 heroes on each side, with one CHOSEN RANDOM sign. This is prevent people waiting for eachother to pick a hero with an imcompatible sign. Aries Taurus Gemini Libra Aquarius Picses Leo Cancer Capricorn Scorpio Sagittarius and Virgo Here will be some differences from a typical AOS(a.k.a. DOTA): Compatibility Each sign is compatible with 2 other signs. This will effect how your spells and attack damage do to other heroes: If an ally is compatible: Your healing spells will have more effect on your allies, spell damage increases, attack damage increases and movement speed increases. If an enemy is compatible: RUN! RUN! RUN! Aries - Leo and Sagittarius Taurus - Virgo and Capricorn Gemini - Libra and Aquarius Libra - Aquarius and Gemini Aquarius - Gemini and Libra Picses - Cancer and Scorpio Leo - Sagittarius and Aries Cancer - Scorpio and Pisces Capricorn - Taurus and Virgo Scorpio - Pisces and Cancer Sagittarius - Aries and Leo Virgo - Capricorn and Taurus Incompatibility All signs are imcompatible with 3 other signs. If an enemy is imcompatible: ATTACK! ATTACK! ATTACK! If an ally is imcompatible: Healing spells have decreased effect, HP regen cut in half, Mana regen put to 0. Attack damage decreased. Here are reasons why people of this sign are imcompatible with other signs: (NOTE: I am not responsible for making it seem easier why you and your friend/friends don't really get along.) Aries Cancer - too sensitive and too emotional Libra - vacillating, lacks imagination, fun and daring Capricorn - unimaginative and too conservative Taurus Aquarius - lacks stability Leo - self-absorbed, authoritative Scorpio - manipulative, not open or direct Gemini Virgo - strict, hard to satisfy Sagittarius - unable to relax, like yourself Pisces - negative outlooks, self-absorbed Libra Aries - domineering, impatient Capricorn - lacks imagination, ordinary, dull Cancer - overly protective Aquarius Taurus - very habit oriented Leo - too demanding Scorpio - too possessive Picses Gemini - too nervous and high strung Virgo - dull Sagittarius - too impulsive Leo Scorpio - too scheming Aquarius - unsubstantial, unengaged Taurus - stubborn, placid Cancer Aries - insensitive, arrogant Libra - not serious enough Capricorn - too simple, unrefined Capricorn Aries - impulsive, erratic Cancer - depressing Libra - dramatic, lacks sincerity Scorpio Aquarius - detached and impersonal Taurus - clash of wills Leo - overly dramatic and arrogant Sagittarius Pisces - too introverted Gemini - scattered, lacks depth Virgo - narrow-minded, fussy Virgo Sagittarius - unreliable Pisces - gloomy, sullen, moody Gemini - impractical, inconsistent All the rest of the signs out of the compatible and imcompatible parts are COMPLETELY NEUTRAL, meaning there is no difference. If you think about it, it's all a HUGE triangle. This is all i've thought about. Tell me if you think it's worthy of being made. :( You can click here to find out where I got my information. |

Guest | My only suggestion at this point would be to have a random and a pick mode - so you can pick star signs - that would bring a new facet of strategy to the game. And also because of you random - you may end up with an incompatible team, while the enemies get a good team - which will be real unfortunate for one team, and for the game in general. |

A few issues I have with this. It is a good idea, think I have heard a few ideas being based off of zodiac, so it's not truly groundbreaking, but still would be fresh. I'm not sure what you mean by things with ally (in)compatibility. When you say spell damage will increase toward your ally if he is compatible what exactly do you mean? I surely hope you do not ever have to worry about how much you can damage your ally. Also what do you mean by hp regen decreasing by half if an ally is incompatible? How will your allies affect your regen at all? Also I find a problem with having compatibility charts as you have. For example, say an aries hero decides to duke it out with a leo. Now the aries recieves 10% attack damage against the leo because of compatibility. However the leo also recieves 10% attack damage against the aries, due to compatibility. Would that not neutralize the whole idea of a bonus? To fix that I would change around the compatibilities so that none went both ways, but maybe since that may somehow piss some tightwads off, since you are lying about zodiac astrology, you might make your own astrological thing. |
