The clouds aren't stuctured, the color of the sea is too flashy. And maybe there's also a problem with the shade |

It looks flat. You need to add more shading and stuff... it doesn't look like a sphere. |

Guest | At first, a planet is big, giant, so a planet need a lot of details, take a texture with a resolution 5000x5000. Then you have to spherize the planete (i suppose you use photoshop) 2 time. Your planete isn't enough spherised. The clouds and the earth have to be created in different layer. After spherisation and addition of somes reliefs, lets add somes light and shadows, atmosphere. With the blending options, add inner and outer glow with linear dodge. Your atmosphere isnt enough transparent. The lighting relfexion depends of the nature of atmosphere and the sun. After that, add some shadows with inner shadow, make a big shadow, a nice planete isn't entire lightend. Erase the atmosphere in the shadow aera. No need a big atmosphere. Now add somes clouds, take a high-resolution texture of clouds, black and with, work it a bit, then spherize. Your planete look too little : no enough details, the couds looks normal mountain (bas technique), Too big atmosphere and no enough transparent. You'll have something like that : Copyright 2004 Alyn Somes good links : http://www.solarvoyager.com/images/t...rial_large.jpg -The tutorial where i take the picture is very good and interesting, but i change my computer, and forget/don't have the link where i download it, maybe i can sent it to you, if you are interested. PS: if i have to fix grammar, aske me. |
