Guest | The idea for this map came from the game Savage by s2games(S2games.com). Aswell as EPIC(Offsetsoftware.com). The general idea of the map is to create a new type of RTS. Two teams face off to complete objectives on a series of small maps in a 256 by 256 map. Each team consists of 1 commander and 5 soldiers. The commanders build buildings,upgrade,dish out resources, and command. The soldiers purchase units and items from different buildings built and upgraded by the commander. For example if the commander builds a glade, and upgrades it to a level 2 glade the soldiers can purchase: A elf or a waywatcher and they can buy short bows or watchers bows. What I need now is people to design 32 by 32 maps which I can add into my map. I also need people to come up with ideas for missions and items as well as units, balance ideas, and general development. I might need some one good with triggers help me design triggers, but I am pretty sure I can do that my self. What I have now: 27 buildings: 6 class buildings each with 3 levels.,Sanctuaries,lodges,glades,blacksmiths,dark forests,keeps. 4 Different shrines that cast buffs like earths harmony,ice block,blades of fire or healing. 4 Different towers, Arcane Tower, Mortar Tower, Arrow Tower, Scout Tower 49 items and units: 6 different classes each with 3 levels,Wizards,Scouts,Elfs,Dwarves,Beasts,Soldiers 30 different items like blaze, marksmen bows,staffs of ice,venom, healining herbs, and demolition packs. 19 units like elfs, enginers, mages, workers and predators. I would like people to create terrain, ideas, and balance. I would also appreciate it if people would like to test my map on their own or get togather with me (Ribbonblue azeroth) and test with me. |

Sounds like a cool idea. How are you going to import 32 x 32 maps into a 256 x 256 map though? didn't know you could do that. |

alright, I really liked the idea of savage, too bad the map editor for it really sucked, at least when I was using it. had like a 50% chance of corrupting the map. Would be cool to see it on here. You could even do some type of score system like Dark Deeds or something, not for overpowered items, but to make things interestings lol. |

I like this idea alot. If it's gonna be like savage, you have my full support on this. Unfortanatly, I can't help you alot, cause I'm writing the script for a mod. But, I can offer ideas for it. |

Guest | Ideas and terrain is what I mainly need. Right now the map is also very confusing to learn, I need help on making it more accsible. Some ideas im thinking about. 100gold a minute per each soldier Allowing a soldier to control more then 1 unit, probaly 4. |

I'd suggest having players get money like in savage. You kill creatures in the envirment and get money. Also, I'll think it'd be kinda cool if the players bought units for the commander to control but the players would be nearly just as strong as a normal unit. Also, the commander should be able to give the players orders that they can choose to follow. |

Guest | The maps are pretty small, 32 by 32 so there is not much space for creeps, instead you get gold by killing enemies, or the commander can give you gold. How do you suggest giving orders? Right now its just a system of trust and, yellow attack their base with red and green or you don't get any gold. The commanders will never be allowed to control units besides workers. |

Just make the commander have shared unit control. Or you could make a system of commands like...in a few triggers. Like...you could make a unit for the commander with abilities that activate triggers that gives the unit the command has selected it's orders. I'd make a trigger to see if that's possible but I don't have wc3 on this labtop and my computer is jacked. But I'm not very good with triggers so...meh |

Did I say control them? I meant to say give them orders like in savage. I was saying basicly make shortcuts to telling units to return to base and crap like that. Btw Why are the maps so small again? :( |
