Please move if it's the wrong place to ask this. Thank you. This is a programming question I guess. It relates to tiles and loops in the map file. Is it possible to use a loop to create the exact same tile for the whole map instead of having each tile use it's own settings. Like instead of something like this.. 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 You would have something like this (btw I don't have a clue about this stuff)... loop exit when i = 100 set i = i + 1 return 00 end loop |

Yes, that will work. But what's your question anyway? |

Basicly speaking I want to replace all the tile information with a loop to save space/size. Since I don't have a clue how to do this I'm asking if anyone knows how to. |

Well yeah, that might work. Look into the stickied thread for a link to the w3e file format specs. (the war3map.w3e is the terrain file) But be warned that the terrain looks like crap if the variations are not random. It will look like a newly generated WEU terrain. |
