I just want to know. This will help me design my RPG. |

all except overpowering heroes, while lots of classes is optional. but also make it that your units evolving like in ragnarok online or final fantasy tactics, etc... |

no overpowering heroes. but otherwise i like the rest but i think i find most strongly in more areas to explore and more classes (cool inventory systems are also nice ) |

Customization. It isn't a true RPG without that. If all you do is pick a hero and go fight, then it's a very boring game. As siad before, custom inventories are also a plus :) |

Overpowering heroes is not necessarily a bad thing, it has just never been done correctly. I think you could come up with a corny super hero sort of thing where your guys have rediculous, badass DBZ-esque moves. You'd also need a challenging AI as well to go with it. This is my first post in a good year or so =) |

I for one dislike over powered heros for one reason. The enemys become dust in seconds. Ceo (who needs a cowboy hat) has a good point. I think one of the main features is the hidden abilitys and skills. I find if very depressing when I realize that the game just started and I already have full access to all my abilitys. A part that keeps me playing is wondering what cool ability will I get next! Fun side quest are good too. |

I'm guessing PvP and PvE are: PvP: Player Vs. Player PvE: Player Vs. Enemy |

I don't mean DotA type spells. I mean huge explosions, shit flying all over the screen, epilepsy enducing spells that are unlocked through a hard, fun questing system. They do not have to win the game for you at the press of a button, they just need to make you go "SHIT! KICKASS!" as hordes of the enemy get mowed down and attempt to counter it somehow. It would be an awesome change to all of the "legend of marlania" RPGs we get around here where some guy loses his only love and goes on vengeance. Friggin boring. I'm just pouring out ideas here. Overpowered spells CAN work. How bout this: These four kickass guys get up one morning and think, "shit, let's kill a lot of bad guys." And they go and do a lot of awesome shit. It'd be Kill Bill on ice...err, warcraft. Now that'd be a fun b.net map. |

Overpowered skills are bad by definition. If they are overpowered then they are unbalanced. It is important to note the diference between powerful, impressive and overpowered. Powerful is good if its done selectively and is well balanced. Impressive is good if it doesnt overtask the average system and cause lag. Overpowered is boring because it make the game unchalanging. PvP = Player vs Player PvE = Player vs Enviroment Personaly we like games that offer quite a bit of both. As can be seen in the maps we make. If we ever make a map that is totaly PvE it will also be a single player map. Dont expect one soon. We love PvP. |
