The horse studies cought my attention. C'mon dude, you can't call those studies. There are no proportions attempt, no construction, no nothing that a study should be. You just drew what you sought without thinking, you made just an outline. The same thing about the insects. Mabye you didn't do just the outline and actualy constructed those and erased the construction lines, but that's wrong either. You must show that you understand what you draw. Try to first make the shape out of geometrical objects (i.e. a leg bone=cylinder, the body=cylinder, cube, etc.) and try to find the proportions of the studied object. For example find out how many times the length of the head makes the lenght of the whole body, or anything you're confortable with, but usualy it's the head that's used. The other drawings aren't so bad...I said something in the gallery about the kung fu dudes. Aniway, keep it up. Practice makes perfect. |

TDR is right the studies are in need of some fixing. It doesnt look like you used any ref, just drawing what you think something looks like. The purpose of studies is to study the placement, proportion and the way something works, which doesnt seem to be the case with those. Try using reference and really trying to nail the basic form. |
