Idea came to my mind where a warrior stands on the shore looking straight into the eyes of the storm that brings demise to his homeland. Let it be Atlantis, Lemuria or any of the lost continents of the earth, or maybe even the sunken island of the Warcraft. Anyway, still trying to get a grip of computer drawing, but I think this one ended up in pretty sad and ancient feel to it. Dunno, you tell me.. EDIT: Typos... |

Guest | Considering what's happening, the warrior look way too static IMO. I mean, he's right into the center of the picture, so he's the main focal point for the eyes but unlike everything else he just stand still. A strange contrast. |

I think the arms are a lill too long. Nice wave effects, nice lightning on the scene... But I don't really like the pose of the guy. |

Well, which does show greater bravery, knowing you'll might win and stand against it without fear or knowing you'll certainly lose and still stand without fear? And that's the point there, I might have drawn a warrior running away in fear instead of trusting in his gods to give him strength to witness and accept his last doom. But running warrior ain't warrior at all. As for the anatomy, arms may look a bit too long, but considering the mythical picture of Lemurian people they stood four meters (at least) long and at their best had two or three extra limbs or eyes ;) Thanks for the critics! |

i like it. but the only thing im not too fond of is the black moon... an eclipse? as for the pose, i dont think theres anything wrong with it. it looks like a female w/ broad shoulders, but the shoulders are in the back pushing the chest forward, making her seem ready for that tidal wave to come kill her!. not really sure why someone would stand out in a storm to die.... what are you going to fight? water??? lol. |

Well, (most) warrior cultures admired death. They did not see it as an end, but a path forward and when you met death with courage you would live forever in afterlife. Many variations, but mainly it goes like that. As for Lemuria, if there ever was such continent, its culture must have been something like hunter/collector primitive tribe culture. Or maybe it's eternal enigma like Atlantis which many seem to believe that the development of human civilization is non-linear and there was higher cultures before the known Sumerians and Egyptians. Nonetheless, this picture is fantasy, and in this picture Lemurians were strong and brave warriors :) EDIT: Oh, yes, the moon... Few else also said that the moon looks too black, but this is not a regular lunar activity. It is some sort of deity or god who shows himself in the shape of great black moon or something like that, not moon as we understand it. I tried to add there shades and still keep it black, but it just didn't show right. For superstition people it would breed chaos and fear when a black sphere appears into the sky from nowhere and seems to swallow all light. That's how I see it at least. |

I think the moon stand out way too much with abolustley no shades, the moon isnt a flat object its a sphere and it should show. Also, the person is poorly lighted it looks like he is made out of a plastic and that everything in his body is flat, his hands are almost same thickness as his thighs and the grass brush you used for the grass looks bad. I advise to try and do your own work in that department. |
