The Caulfield Siblings vs Xmen!

yea... unlike my other dumb thread this only has two pics...

First one consist of head drawings of Phoebe and Holden (the Caulfield siblings). Where the fuck do those two come from? From Catcher in the Rye of course! :p
I read the book only once so I might have passed up some physical details... except for colors coz I didnt color nething yet.
I hope some1 here read it... and liked it like I do. I find some moments were really beautiful, I want to illustrate them if ever I can manage colors. Holden seems thin... tried to do like some anime artist with male characters... make em thin and do gay stuff... but like the thin-ness is wat struck me so I tried it out. Phobe's haircut is not fully defined and might seem weird cuz at one point Holden asks: Who gave you that haircut?

Second is a doodle in science class... turned out decent so Im happy. The hand on Wolverine is messed cuz I just wanted to draw the blades... The other guy is not really xmen... cuz Im not really a fan of the serie I jst pictured a guy with fire powers... Started the drawing from the hand heavy perspective so the proportions of the rest might be off + light source not from eye... eeesh

Newayz enjoy ^^b

Nice heads, but it seems once it gets into more complicated angles the eyes and placement get messed up. Also, some of the faces seem really generic for anime especialy. Last thing for now is that in the second pic looks like he lost his spine and is in the process of collapsing :/.

Reproducing a same character like a real mangaka is real hard work lol. Cuz I never did that before. Simple faces since I wasn't used to remake heads with diff emotions I jst started out simple ^^b.

That guy's back aint right :p Pose went over Realism meh.

wolverine looks a tad bit scrawny > _ <. He looks a bit freakish because he looks old and young at the same time. Kinda like a freakish midget or something heh.

yeah your faces need more work.

oo.. i loved the catcher in the rye. That is my absolutely favorite book of all time. its probably the only school book i've ever enjoyed reading.

i like the pheobe, but not Holden that much. Try adding his hunter hat, that would definitely do it....

I loved it too! Only book I was compelled to reread parts of. The Phoebe I like but holden was just quick. Phoebe is the character I prefer the most she really completes the story.

I have no idea what a hunter hat looks like. :p
