Guest | As for the map itself, well, it is an altered-melee. In fact, a very altered-melee. Now what sets this map apart from every other altered-melee map? For the very reasons that its first impression seems to push people away; its gameplay is that of Starcraft's. Thus not only are units weak, cheap and require great micromanagment skills, but the heroes themselves are but regular units - they require upgrades for their attack, armour spells, ect... This being the case, they are also either Tier 2 or Tier 3 units and can be produced in numbers (but it should be noted, that the map is structured in such as way that massing heroes doesn't work - combine them with your regular units and with micromanagment, they will be very effective). Also, each race has been given three unique units and structures, now trust me, I didn't just throw units in out of the blue without thought of balance, how it looks and how much sense it makes. I've added the Burning Legion and Naga, each with their own 20 or so units. So far, everyone who I have talked to who has played this map has enjoyed it, or if they prefered regular Warcraft 3, they admitted that it was well structured and made. Thus I ask that you give it a test and provide some feedback on how I can improve it in your opinion. |

Note: I was playing as the 'Demon' race. This map is good and well thought out as well as good conversion to other "3/4 hit K.O" games and has lots of new spells and buildings aswell as units, and also needs alot of work to make it work well. ## Bugs ## -The second naval attack upgrade requires a stronghold. -Some buildings have no terrain texture. -AI needs alot of improvement (Example: Orc AI does not build more than 3 grunts and no other types of unit [Excluding peon/s] -Fel Orc Juggernaught has no 'missile' art. -The Dreadlord's summonable infernal has immolation of 10 damage per second. -The Fel Orc Juggernaught's tooltip states it as a 'Orc Juggernaught' ## Balance Changes ## -Using just 3-5 ships you can creep very easily at the start and obtain thousands of gold with the bounty of nearly 100 gold per creep. -Make AI harder (I managed to kill 3 insane computers extremely easily compared to normal melee maps). -Workers do less damage to trees when chopping (Using 5 peons i wiped out 25-30 trees easily in 5 minutes of the game) -Make the Black Dragon cost more (Can easily wipe out anything in numbers of 4+, and costs a tiny bit more than a pit lord, but is almost twice as powerful). ## Suggestions ## -Make use of models/skins aswell as icons to really boost the quality of your map. -Use coloured writing in the loading screen to make it less 'boring' -Put all your balance changes into the quests menu instead of the loading screen. -Rename your quests menu 'Infomation'. -Make names more unique (Having two buildings built by the same race named 'Demon Gateway' and 'Demonsional Gateway' does seem a little strange). Other than the things listed above, a great map. |
