This topic will describe the B.Net RPG Robocop and I are currently working on. It is an extension of the old RPG we abandoned titled Grenville RPG. Anyhow, here we go...

Order of the Sacred Heart

Features
-one map intended for b.net play, approx. 4-8 players (undecided)
-entirely redone leveling/questing system
-intricate equipment system
-innovative boss AI
-balanced spells and equipment (players are encouraged to use teamwork over +100 tomes :8 )
-drop and item tagging system (items are distributed round robin style to all players within range of the kill, extensive and rewarding loot tables)
-enjoyable storyline
-intro and outro cinematics

this section would not be complete with out the mandatory "AND MUCH MUCH MORE!"

Storyline
You are a member of a large mafia-like organization called the Order of the Sacred Heart. This organization does a lot of bad (undecided) stuff to you, your friends, and your family. You some how escape certain death and begin to plot your revenge...

Gameplay
Basically, you follow the linear storyline through the game. You save what part of the storyline you are in in your save/load code and at the start of each game your party chooses what point in the story you want to start from.

If you are on the same part of the chosen quest you will get credit for it, other wise you will only get the EXP credit for completing the quests (and not actual completion credit). At the end of each section you can choose to start from another point or keep going on your current one. There are also many optional quests you can complete to kill NPCs with rare loot tables and other good stuff.

You "buy" classes from one of 5 types of schools. Once you buy a class from a certain type you must stay within that type for the rest of the game with that character. You can then buy other classes from the school, buy spells for your current class, and increase your characters base stats. Schools will be scattered throughout the game in towns and hidden in the wilderness. There will probably be special classes you can get through completing quests.

Anyway, this is the jist of my game. I hope you think it sounds fun, I sure do.

Screenshots
-the WIP class system is on a test map if you can't tell
-we are obviously not going for ground breaking terrain; we *DO* want it to be functional and look good, which I think it does
-terrain is courtesy of my good friend robocop

Thanks for reading about my current mapping project. If you have any questions/comments/concerns feel free to post! If you'd like to help please explain how, I will probably be needing hero/unit/item/spell editors in the future. I'll try to keep this thread as updated as possible.

Completely Pulled Out of Thin Air Stats
-Terrain: 20%
-Trigger systems: 5%
-Custom objects: 0%
-Cinematics: 0%
-Storyline: 5%

Thanks for the reply john =) can't believe it's the only one

Anyway, I almost have the class system working. Just a few more tweaks to get it working multiplayer and it's set.

Just wanted to update, I have finished the entire class/spell/stat training system. I would open it up for other people to use but there are a couple dozen global arrays and I don't want people to have to deal with that.

Screenshots of it coming soon. Bumps would be appreciated as I'm not getting very many =/
