Does anyone have any or know where I can get some good spells for a ranged typed heros. I need to get some new ones, I allready browsed threw wc3sear.ch and found nothing rly intriging.

I have seen a few maps with good archer spells, like, strife and flury of arrows and whatnot.

Any help would be appricated

Critical shot : % chance of an instant kill or extra damage
Aim: temporarily increases chance of critical shot substantially, but slows movement.

obviously these two work best together ^_^

OK...WHOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I am gonna have fun with this. :D
1. Charge # : You take # extra time to aim and pull the bow with such force the damage is multiplied by #. (you can have the levels increase the #)
2. Bouncing arrow : an arrow that hits the target and bounces to another one, and so forth and so on.
3. Splinter arrow : an arrow that splinters upon hitting the target, mildy damaging things around it.
4.Reflection arrow : the arrow, upon hitting it's target, continues off in a random direction.
5.Exploding arrow : as splinter srrow, but more damage and hit's allies to.
6.Mystic arrow : After you fire it, it zig-zags randomly towards the general target, making it difficult to avoid.
7. Homing arrow : Duh? :D
8. Multi shot : you fire several arrows at once
9. Barrage: you shower an area with many arrows. (like cluster rockets)
10. poison arrow : Leaves them poisoned
11. Tanquilizer arrow : leves them with less movemant and attack speed
12. Paralisis arrow : they can't move for a short duration.
13. Force arrow : leaves an expanding trail of force that damages those inside of it.
14. Pearcing arrow : goes through the target and continues on.
15. Arrow to the sky : you fire arrows into the sky, and they rain around you. Like starfall, but randomly targaets around you, isn't channeling. (you cast it, and then a few seconds later they rain down)
16. Blink is always good.
17. Arrow catch : you have a percent chance, that you will catch an incoming arrow, allowing you to use it as ammo(if you have it in your map) and also stopping the attack.
18. Return Fire : if you have catch arrow, when you catch the arrow, you immidealty fire it back at the target.
19. Long range shot : takes longer to shoot, bt you can shoot much farther.
20. Small animal familiar : you can choose to have a small animal to help you out. There are several ones you caould take. For example. A bird could be a great scout and fast, but could attack, and a racoon could be a great land scout and fast, but could attack. A wolf specialty could be attack...etc.
21. Enhanced eyesite : haveing been aracher for so long, this skill increases there line of site.
22. Blinding arrow : leaves them with a very high chance of missing

Well, that's just for now of the top of the head :D
Let me know if you need any clarification, and also, PLEASe do keep in touch, I'd love to help you with ideas and such if you are working on an archery map. :D
So let me know what you think, Eh?

Lots of good ideas :)

Only thing is, I don't see how to make most of them :(

:)

oops

Aim would basically be frenzy with some triggers in it. Set speed reduction to whatever, set scaling value and attack speed bonus to 0.

The critical strike connection I think works better if you use a dummy ability that the hero actually learns, that won't show up, like an item hp bonus. Have the actual critical strike, a unit ability, triggered to go up for each level the hero learns of the dummy.

Then you can replace the critical strike with a second ability that has the increased chance, then switch it back once the aim expires.

Er...Well can you trigger? I suppose I can trigger them if you don't know how too. :D I'd love to help as much as i can.

Yea, I have never made any spells with triggers b4 :p

I know alot of triggers, but never tried any spells with them b4. If you could trigger then in a small map and send it to me, I will be able to learn how u did it and whatnot.

I will give credit on my map for your contributions. Thx :)

Hmm... still looking for ideas?
I don't know how to make the triggered ones though. :(
I think they are pretty cheap. :P

Peace Arrow: Enemies cannot attack or use spells for [X] seconds.

Divine Arrow: Deals [X] bonus damage to dead units, and [X] bonus damage to other units.

Steeple Arrow: Deals [%] damage calculating the distance of where it was shot, to where it hit the enemy. (Distance divided by [%] damage)

Idol Arrow: The unit is strapped into the Ranger's/Archer's mana, causing the Ranger/Archer to willingly control the unit in a limited range and time.

Hook Arrow: Bring the target closer to the Ranger/Archer.

Ok...I might be able to make a few and send them to you. :D But I need to know what kind of syatem for your game are you using? Like are the arrows a modded shockwave, or do you actually attack the target?

Ignitedstar, how would you make those without triggers? You have a base map you could show me them in?

Genki, I don't really have any made, so, you can design it however you want, and I will implement them into my map.

Message me whenever your done :)

I'll do what I can. Frankly, triggering isn't my strong spot. XD

actually, it's best if you use triggered spells, since normal spells isn't that great and unique.

but uhh, take some spells from the D2 Amazon, some are really great like valkyrie, decoy, those flaming and ice arrows, uhh, passives like evasion, or true sight. entangling roots, arrow shower, etc. etc.

PS>make archers an anti-assassin type hero. :D

Yeah...I'll try and trigger some of those, But it might be a little while. I am pretty busy with HvH. I'll do my best to at least post the exact way to make the trigger if I can't make the mpa itself.
