Could anyone explain me how they work? Even though I searched for a complete tutorial, all I found was some brief introduction. Could someone explain me (maybe with images) or even make a tutorial? It would be great. And yes, I know this request sounds nooby... I don't mean to sound like this. ^_^

They are fairly simple, just mess around with the values until you get something nice.

particle emitters in 3ds max or MDL? anyways in MDL the best thing to do is import a particle emitter with oinker's tool, open up an MDL with the kind of particle you want and then sorta copy it and mess around

Oh, thanks for posting guys but I finally figure it out... I had to mess up with the BlizParticles in 3dsmax. Thanks to the documentation of the art tools and the help from Sansui, I finally got it.
