Is it possible to overlap the chat text with game text?

I kind of see it from a differen point of view (sorry if I'm wrong). Just do the following...
Change the players name to a shitload of spaces putting anything he/she says off the screen.
Code:
Player - Set name of Player 1 (Red) to ...

Now everytime someone writes something detect it and display it in game text.

That's pretty brilliant. Are you sure that works in multiplayer though?

I don't know if it works. Thats why I'm asking :) But I don't see why it would not work on b.net. The idea came from someone elses post about a rpg chat thing.

That's a seriously awful solution though. Because it would screw other things related with the player's name

Imagine what would happen if you hover your mouse over the unit of another player for example

Oh I thought it was someone else posting there, sorry. :P

Also, Lord Vexorian, is there a preferred method? Because this topic keeps cropping up and no one can find a truly good method of doing it.
