The Arena II (more members needed)

The Arena is a game that was once extremely popular on another forum I used to be a member of. Though the forum was made for different reasons then this game, it slowly grew out to be the main event on the entire forum - and people would only visit the forum for the game; I don't think I have to explain how extremely popular it was back then.
I am wondering if I am able to revive the game on a different - this - forum. Do remember that I am not the official creator of the game, so it will happen from time to time that I don't know what to do - though I don't think that will happen too much.

To explain about the game; you are the leader - or boss, whichever you prefer - of an amount of soldiers that will fight for you in the Arena. The team will exist out of 6 different soldiers that all have a different opinion, and personality. But even though you are the big boss about the team, you have something above you, and that is the sponsor of the team. When the sponsor lost their faith in you, you can say good-bye. The sponsors are always providing you with money to pay your soldiers, to buy training equipment, take your soldiers out for, whatever you want, and a lot more what you will find out eventually.
Most of what will be writen, are important, but not crucial. They are basic parts of how to play the game but the most basics is easier than you might expect.
For those who've played the game before, read it as well. After a long talk with someone who played the game as well, I learned how to do some... most stuff.

Visible Stats
All characters have several stats, what are shown in every soldier profile. By all means, you don't even have to start to remember what their stats are - if you would remember it, then I'll praise you, since it is nearly impossible later on - because it is just too much. They are placed there to show how good, or bad, a particular character is at combat skills. Basically, the higher the stats, the better.
Advanced

Hidden Stats
These stats are, logically, hidden and in no possible way visible. Though you won't be able to see them, you are able to improve them since they are just as important as the visible, basic stats.
The hidden stats have influence on how the soldiers react to your comments on them, and how good they are in certain other things. 'Media Handling', is one of the hidden stats.
Advanced
Teamwork is no longer a hidden stat.

Personality Stats
Personality stats are what they say. Just like the basic visible stats, you don't have to remember these, but do look back to them when you want to say something to the soldier. These stats are a section of the hidden stats, but you are able to see these.

Money
Just like in real life, when you have someone working for you, you will have to pay them; it is not different here. It is not just their wages you will have to pay, but also their protection. To say it bluntly and as an example, it'll cost about 5 gold a character and everything is covered - but of course, there are exceptions of soldiers who'll demand more.
Sponsors pay you every match an amount of gold that will be a fixed amount based on the result of the match. Every year, you will also get a fixed amount that will be based on all matches that has been done throughout the year. At the start, you will automaticly begin with 500 gold.
It is quite logical what money is necessary for.

Time
Every saturday, there is a new match with one exception a year. This is for me, a very comfortable time since I usually am home on a saturday. I won't discuss my private life here, but I am usually watching TV on a saturday for about the entire day, so I'll have the time to update anything if necessary. Before saturday, mention what kind of selection you want to send out, and the order, that has been explained a little while ago.

Questions
Every week, at the very least, I will make up several questions for the soldiers to ask you. Usually the questions exists out of a 'media' question, a 'player problem' and/or a 'team problem'.
If you decide to ignore the soldier that wants to talk with you, that is very possible because you might not have the time. Nothing will happen if you do that, unless it is something important. If it is important, it will remain there until you talk with the soldier.
If the character is mad at you, it is best to listen to what he wants to say. If you don't react to an eager comment like that, your reputation will go down.

For questions to show up, you can always count on it. I was one of the people who had the job of creating such for the game on the other forum.

Characters
They are your soldiers, and there is nothing more to say to it. They have a contract binding them to you, forcing them to listen to you. They must follow every order you give, even if that means dying for you. Do know that they are normal people as well, and that they have feelings as well. If you constantly fine their wages, they won't really like you.

Never forget that they are normal people. They will like it when you would organise a party for them after winning a match - important or not - it will also improve their relation with you, and possibly increase their (hidden) stats.

At the end of every year, all characters become, exactly, one year older. They come from the lower groups at the age of 18 and they usually retire when they are 30 - 35, unless you arranged something with them, which you may find out yourself.

Also important, every soldier has their own style of fighting. That is either 'attacking' or 'defending'. Both of them have something important what is explained in the matches section.

Potential
All soldiers have an amount of potential. The potential will be one single roll of a dice with 20 sides. Automaticly, but an 0 behind the result of the roll. When a 20 is rolled, the character will have 200 potential, what is also the most possible. When a 1 is rolled, the character will have 10 potential, what really isn't much.

There is no possible way to find out what their potential is - unless you are able to bribe me :P - but you will see what their progress is. This also affects their visible stats. If you are able to pay a lot of attention to it, you can find out what their peak is.
When they reached the top of their potential, they can't get better, no matter what.

Potential may also be replaced with the word 'experience', since it is nearly the same in this case. Their potential (not their top) will increase when they fight in matches.

Training
Every week, you will be able to mention a certain training scheldue, which you may create by yourself. Though they will usually only improve their teamwork with each other. When you have the money to buy training machines, you are able to increase their stats.
Also remember that when the stat of someone is 10 (and exactly 10), it is not possible to improve it anymore. It is possible that their stats will go down, so you can train them in the same stat again when it has gone down. It is also possible that a stat increases for no particular reason.

There is also a training camp that is expensive, but it will have all training equipment. Eventually, buying all those training equipment is cheaper than going on training camp.

Matches
It was just explained what kind of factors will play during a match and before a match. As long as no injuries occured or any personal problems, your chances will be high to win a match. It can never be guarenteed that it will be a victory for your team though; even if you have a 10 in all stats.
Characters that are either injured, ill, busy or summoned to the elite for a day, cannot be entered in a match.
As soon as possible, mention in what kind of order you want to let the people fight. It will always be a 1 v 1 battle that is possible to end in any way.

A match will exist out of 5 rounds, unless it is ended earlier. When 3 soldiers of a team win, the entire team will win. So, it is possible that the match will exist out of 3 rounds.

A 1 vs 1 battle takes 3 rounds. An attacking soldier will only attack in the match, and will not do much about their defense. This is a good thing, but also a bad thing.
Based on the 'Health' of the character that can be found in their visible stats, you will see how much he can endure. If it is a 10, he will has the highest chance of getting through 3 rounds while fighting an attacking soldier. A defending soldier will attack less, but is more focused on surviving the round. When you know the opponent is going to send out their strongest soldier out, it is best to have a defending soldier on that place then.

After 3 rounds in a battle (1 vs 1), and none of the two soldiers have been defeated, it'll result as a draw. A draw is neither a loss nor a win and it will just be continued to the next battle. When all matches are draws, and no winner comes out of the match, the match stats anew, even if someone is too tired to fight. Yes, the penalties will appear then.

After every match, you will gain a -50% condition rating. Every day, 5% will be regained while the character doesn't fight. If the soldier doesn't fight in the match, his condition won't decrease.

Rookie Elite
Everyone you have are, actually rookies, never forget that. They are not the best of the arena, and there are more competitions in the 'Arena' but only one is available. More will be available when the game becomes popular.

There is also, 'the best' of the Rookies, just like everyone could expect. This does not only mean that you will gain money for interviews with the soldier, but it will also mean that the soldier will draw the interest of 'bigger' teams.
The Best of the Rookies, also named, the Rookies Elite, exist out of 6 different soldiers and someone will be removed from the selection when they are injured. If the character has the same skills as before - what is not likely - he'll return to the list.

You
You are the trainer, leader, manager, finder and strongest person of the team. You cannot fight the battles, but you will have stats. The stats aren't the same as the soldiers, but you will see the use of it.

NOW, if you survived that, here's how you create your team.
1) Choose a 'boss'/'leader' name (Your name)
2) Choose a team name
3) Write a small (2-3 sentance) explanation of your character (In #1)
4) Done! Fladian will roll the die, and create your team for you! Feel free to nickname the players if their names are impossible.

Now, if you survived that, here's how you create your team.
1. Create your own character - the boss/leader - and don't forget to give him/her a name.
2. Create a team name.
3. Write a small explanation of your character. This will affect the opinion of your soldiers about you.
4. Done. That's all. I will now create your team for you. Feel free to nickname the soldiers if their names are too hard for you to remember.

Do know, if you don't get an answer straight away after requesting something, then it usually means that I am busy. For about 9/10th of the entire country where I live is quite busy during this, and the next 2 - 3 weeks when I posted this.

I roll the stats with a dice with 6 sides. So the stat will either be a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or a 6. Right now, I made one exception.

I forgot to add the /5 to all characters. The 5 is the maximum they can get in that stat while training. If you'd read your training facilities, you can see that they can only go up until 5 until you upgrade them. When you upgrade one of your training facilities, it will go up with +1.
Money is a lot easier to get this time, but let me finish NightArcher's team first.

Because a dice has six sides. :P
What did I roll? All characters have an own role. All their stats are a roll of a 6 sided dice and their potential is a roll of a 20 side dice - what worked quite well may I add to it.
Their personality is also a roll with a six sided dice. Then again, all hidden stats are rolls :P

Post as much as you want, you know I love talking :P
