The War of the Tides.

When the Sundering of Azeroth came about and the Well of Eternity became the destructive Maelstrom, Queen Azshara and her Highborne elite managed to survive the ordeal. Tortured and twisted by the powers they had released, Azshara and her followers were dragged down beneath the raging sea by the Well's implosion. Cursed - transformed - they took on new shapes and became the hateful serpentine naga. Azshara herself expanded with hate and rage, becoming a massive monstrosity, reflecting the wickedness and malice that had always hidden within her core.

There, at the bottom of the Maelstrom, the naga built for themselves a new city, Nazjatar, from which they would rebuild their power.

Not all was well for the naga throughout their ten thousand years of waiting. They almost fell again to a great force of the ocean. Neptulon the Tidehunter had fallen thousands of years prior to the incident, and was banished beneath the world for milenia. His prison alone was opened up by the great Sundering. After his freedom, he sought a greater power than even comprehensibel by mortals. The exact details of his dark plan were never certain, but it is clear that he intended to drag the continents beneath the waves and create a new world in his name.

He had not only had to live a life of inprisonment, he also lost all of his powers over the watery elementals. He still was the most powerful being in the entire world. Neptulon then sought out a new army of watery minions. He found armies of the voracious Merlocs, Brutish Sea Giants, and Sinister Makura to follow him. He amassed his army for two millenia until his scouts found the naga capital. The Tidehunter ordered for the city to fall, but the naga were not without allies of their own. The cousins of the merlocs, the murguls, had joined the naga out of spite of their cousins. Also, they had gained an army of coutai and Nighty Turtles to fight for them. The War of the Tides, as it would later be known, raged on for a hundred years. In the end, both leaders fell in the battle, and as Neptulon and Azshara were carried away by the blood-filled waters, The naga reigned supreme under their new leader, Lord Vishus. His descendants would lead the naga until Lady Vashj came into power and joined Lord Illidan in his scheming plots.

Ok then This is pretty much the plot line for the campaign I wish to make.
