showing an icon on terrain ground

it is possible to show an icon (maybe illidan) on the terrain ground ? if yes, how to do that ?

i wanted to make a hero selection area with hero icon on the ground .. u select hero by enter that icon region ..

either make a new model or if you want it to be a little easier take that stupid f'ing cube dude and copy and paste the icon skin of the unit you want on it onto the square than lower the cube man down into the ground so only the top shows
