Does this story have potential?

I know, you guys... you're alway telling me to make the story first, before I want feedback, but I'm that kind of person who likes feedback first front, while something is not done. So:

This new story is called The Dark Guardian.

This will be the history of the story:

In a world called Opaque, there lived a demon made of the shadows, who created havoc upon the land. Engulfing even the light itself, the sages of their ancestral world had made a sealing spell that would entrap the guardian of darkness. As the guardian took many lives, the sages put their plan into action, and they had succeeded, but one of the sages found a flaw in their seal: If one was the touch the seal of the guardian of darkness, then they will take the place of the dark guardian, becoming the next to curse the land once more.

For this conspiracy, the sage was executed, after confessing to the other eight sages. In order to maintain the content of their people, they also killed the sage's wife, and cast a curse seal on their son to never hold any memory of his parents, or to every know what the guardian of darkness was. From that day forth, the tale of the guardian of darkness faded away, never showing itself ever in the history of Opaque.

Opaque is another word for darkness.

What do you think?

It could have potentiall. Your gonna need strong terrain editors (no I'm not one, hate that sorta c***) and more people to advance on the stoy (I can help you there!!!). I'll be intressted to see this.

What? These stories in this board don't generally apply to maps you know.

Of course it can have potential. Every story can have potential, as long as the writer is able to pull the potential out of the story.

It's not the first subject you post asking for this. And, IMHO, I consider this is SPAM. Who cares about your story? Write it if you like it, and then people will care. But noone cares about stupid story plans.

No. I hate it. You must burn every scrap of paper with anything related to that story on it, then undergo a brain transplant so that you can't remember it, and I'm going to delete this thread because it's so terrible...


But really, what did you expect us to say? Ignitedstar, you just gotta just go with what you think. If you don't see any potential, then don't write it. If you do, then write! And if you write it halfway and then give up, then just post it as an unfinished work or something.

I'm really starting to think that I should take Badfurday AND johnfn off of my "respected" list, and put them on my "naughty" one.

Why? Because, it takes the two of you... yes the TWO of you, to yell at me and push me over the edge, when I'm a hard person to budge.

You could also look at it from a different aspect. Think of it, as a hint to start a story, the introduction. The back end of a book. A small paragraph of information to attract people to it.

Ok, the dominos car was pretty lame/random. But I did have constructive criticism on that post: to just make a story no matter what you think other people will think about it. (I also mentioned that no one would say it was bad when they only read two paragraphs, you don't get enough of it to make a proper judgement) The fact that that was just brushed off is kinda dissapointing, considering you took the one offtopic thing on my post and used it against me.

Ok, maybe my stupid humor about getting rid of every scrap of the story in existance was dumb too. I thought maybe I could lighten up what I was going to say. Obviously it didn't work.
