Geomerging

I just geomerged a club wespon I made onto the Naga Myrmidon, but I'm not sure if it's attached to the right bone or not. I attached it to Bone_ArmHand1_Left, and I sized it up and placed it properly, but when it animates it goes all funny. Maybre I just didn't rotate it right, but I think it might be attached to the wrong bone...

for units like the royal gaurd you never know, but I believe you should use the right hand since most units like him hold it from that hand I think from memory. anyways see how it says arm1? That might indicate some dummy hand or the weapon... might want to post the MDL, don't worry we won't steal anything so original as a naga with a club :P

Actually he is going to get armour and a new skin as well, and the club is also uvwrapped to use the sunken ruins doodad textures. Ha! I'l post the mdl anyway though.

another idea is to check the vertex group of the hand you want him to hold the axe and create a similar vertex group in the geoset and assign the cllub to it...

Maybe you just used the wrong bone. Some models have a bone for weapons too.

As you can see, I've got it to work! My next step is too add the armour, then maybe a skin.
