A New Idea On Maps

I am so impressed of you guys that you created such a marvellous mod. It's a pearl among gray pebbles.

I dunno if you're still up to upgrading it in any way, but i want to cooperate a little.

See, of course the mod is great, and it's like really creating a PnP RPG, but still there is one little drawback: the maps.
I really don't like the idea of that maps must be melee-like, with just a terrain and doodads done.

It may be quite complicated, but I would really like the mod to work on triggered maps. Well, not the big, active triggers, but more like environmental: for instance, some generated effects, unique units, custom textures/models and stuff like that.
Why? Because that way anyone could create a preset *WORLD* and then breathe life into it using DM's options, controlling all the characters, and stuff like that.
But you just can't do that much if you have only a blank, melee-like map. DM can't do all these things during the game. Even if he could, it would take too much time.

And I don't think (correct me if i'm wrong) that there is no way of allowing map to have some custom units/abilities/graphics and some environmental triggers. Like, there is one group of triggers that is environmental, optional that is, and then there is a separate one with all the stuff that the mod does.

If you could pull it off, i would be IMMENSELY grateful to you. Because I love mapping and designing, and storytelling, but the triggers really are not my thing. But with the mod like yours, and with that feature that allows serious customization of a map, my dream will come true.

You can add trigger after you have MOD-ed the map.

No! This is the problem of DMMOD. If you put units *before* applying the mod, it is in vain, because the mod will delete them (and all triggers) anyway. If you put units or otherwise change the map (even a little) AFTER you've applyed the mod, then the map will lose the mod, and become an ordinary melee map.
I wonder if there's any way to avoid that, or to change the mod in such way that allows triggering/placing units on a map before or after mod being applied. If anyone knows how, I'd be so much grateful to hear it.
See, I need to create units, not just triggers... well, i can of course create units through triggers, but that's not a very good idea.

Where is mikitian? I mean, it seems as if this project is long-dead to the core now... too bad, because it had SO much potential.... Actually, best wc3 mod i've ever seen.
