"The isle of Freest lies somewhere off the coast of Lorderan. This mysterious isle is thought to be the birthplace of all magic, from Light to Dark. Throughout the Orcish and Human war, this isle simply went on with it's simple existence. The variety of races that have gathered here is staggering. Everything from Humans, to Orcs, Elves to Undead to Pandarens, Trolls to Taurens, and Dragonkin to Spirits has gathered here to live a peaceful life away from the torment of the mainland. Few travelers have ever come to this place of wonder, but they tell their acclaims of the incredible civilization that has grown there.

This peaceful land has not been without it's wars though. Countless wars have ravaged the landscape and have destroyed and recreated it thousands of times. For some peculiar reason, time is accelerated on Freest, and accelerated at an alarming rate. For every day that passes in the mainland, a year passes on Freest. Even with this enhanced time, the technology has not progressed any further than that of the Humans and Night Elves. The reason for this lull in technology is the rapid destruction and recreation of the island. Freest is recreated at least once per mainland year.

Throughout each of these conflicts, sides have risen and fallen. Millions of groups have answered the call of duty, but only 2 have been dominant throughout the history of Freest. Originating at the very beginning of the isle's existence, the Chosen of Light and Secant Idol of Dark have been waging war against each other. The wars have gone in both directions countless times and typically they switch off every conflict. Their great powers have been enough to destroy Freest without even knowing it.

Right now, a new battle will shortly begin on Freest. This one will be a manipulated war though. A third party, the Fate Alterers, have taken an interest in the distorted time flow on Freest, and seek to unlock the secrets of Time magic. They are plotting to unlock the mystery surrounding Time magic while the Chosen and Secant Idol destroy each other. From an unseen floating castle, they watch each move and prepare to take the side of those who lose, and plan to give them the power of Time so that they can take over Freest, and the world as we know it.

Welcome to Freest, a land of many cultures and landscapes. Burning deserts and frosty mountains are only a stone's throw away from each other. Here you will wage war from the town of Siliconopia if you are a Chosen, or from the town of Diapolis if you are from Secant Idol. In addition to these towns, six temples of the elements are also located all around the isle, with untold treasures and secrets waiting for those who are able to unlock them.

You will be one of the heroes who will decide the fate of Freest, choose to be one of the Chosen and save Freest from ultimate destruction. Or choose to be with Secant Idol, and take the powers of Freest and use them for your own selfish deeds. Battle all over the island, gathering power until you and your allies are able to deliver the final, crushing blow to your opponents, and finally put an end to the wars of Freest. But be careful, the victor cannot claim the spoils until all is taken care of, never forget that the Fate Alterers are watching and waiting for their time to take control."

New Year's Evil. This map is similar to DotA, but will be unique in it's own respects. Armies don't fight for you, it is more of an exploratory map, abilities will be dependant on special factors (ex: an Earth hero will require an artifact from the earth temple to even learn his or her ultimate ability), and special secret heroes for those lucky enough to uncover their secrets!

This is the basic idea for a map I am currently making. I am capable of doing everything besides advanced triggering, skinning, modeling, and AI work. I will gladly accept anyone who wishes to be involved in the project and am also looking for feedback for some heroes to put on the map. Mind you, they must have some inherent alignment, such as good and evil.

Plan them around the basis of having 6 elemental types.

Water
Fire
Earth
Wind
Light
Dark

I currently have 9 heroes for each side, but want to get at least 12 for each side and perhaps as many as 18 per side. If you're interested in being accredited to the concept of the idea and the heroes, let me know.

Currently, I have the concept (story) and modified the armor and weapon types all complete. I am looking for someone to make custom attack type and armor type icons. Though most other things are optional, I don't have a lot of confidence in my paintshop skills. Any feedback is more than appreciated.
