Guest | hey ppl! I'm new here. I followed a link from theHelpers.net and found this forum. I've found this place impressive so i've decided to join in as well. Anyway, since I am here, I might as well post up on a map project I am currently undertaking. It is called the "War of the Gods". It's a strategy map with 2 opposing sides, a total of 72 heroes(at current progress, only 24 heroes are ready) from 6 different God-races, 6 bases(3 on each side), 3 lanes, and 6 different creep races. It is based on Forgotten Realms, Norse and Greek Mythology. I would post more but it's currently VERY late here at the moment, so i will post more about it tomorrow. |

Why siege? Because I will be implementing openable and closable gates, walls and plenty of defensive structures. Also, if I can manage to figure out the trigger, I'll also be implementing a system of commands that will allow you to control the pathing of your creeps(meaning to order the creeps to attack/gather on which lane). Anyway, I would welcome any feedback/suggestions/questions regarding this map. Also, I would very much appreciate any help that you would offer, be it trigger writing, items making, abilities making, etc. Note: If you find some of the titles of the Gods above horrendous, you are welcome to give your own suggestions as well. EDIT: Btw, the map is currently 30% complete. |

That looks very interesting, with Greek Mythology (not an easy task to take over) I think you have every god in greek mythology in that post. It would be a hard task to make spells for every single one of them, but I'm sure you could do it! I hope this beats DotA, really, hope. =) |

Guest | Hehe....Thanks. As i said, this map is already 35% complete. I've already released various Beta Versions in the Eurobattle.net private bnet server for beta testing. Well, I've just sent a message to Lord Vexorian asking whether he would be interested in helping me implement his Invx System into my map....I'm still waiting for a reply. XD EDIT: Hmm....I just realized there were more than TWO map projects in this forum that uses the SAME TITLE as MINE!!! I might have to contemplate changing the name......BUT I ALREADY HAVE A CLAN WITH THE SAME NAME!!! Argh.... |
