Durothar Sunset

goddamn this is taking forever... for now only the ground is fiunished, and that took me about 4 hours... next up is the sky, then the troll... but damn this is taking ages :)

its turning out to be quite an eye-pleaser though, or at least to me... i'mn loving this picture. every second i wonrk on it i think: 'yes, this is good'.

at last :D

made a terrible mistake though... i've worked on it at twice the size that is displayed here, but then terror struck me: i forgot to size back after saving a wip. so i'm forced to continue with it at this size *slaps self*

anyway, enjoy what i have now.

The sky needs to be brighter, but i suppose you noticed it. And there may be a problem with the perspective of the ground, but I can't really see what's wrong, sorry.

yeah i pretty much made up the design for the ground as i went along, i didnt scetch it to great detail or something :D

strugelled for a long time with the clouds and stuff, and i finally got a look i like a lot, using verry wide quick brushstrokes.. i think it fits the rest verry well, it might not look verry realistically like an actual sunset... but it sure looks atmorpherically (omg yes, i make up new words!)

and oh yeah, the white rims are there for practical reasons... my brush kept dragging the side of my drawing while i painted, so i made a cursor-buffer zone :)

the ground ends too abruptly at the horizon

hmmyes, but how to fix this? i could add, for example, the siluette of a mountail to the left side (as there is acually supposed to be a mountain there) to maybe make it less abrupt?

I would say that AND raise the hoizon line a little higher

Put a mountain with those huge thorn roots and a hut nearby like razormane are living there.

I think that the troll blends in too much w/ the background, which is kinda ironic being as how you used quasi-complimentary colors for everything. i think you should make the troll pop out a bit more... how you can do that, i dont know.. but thats just my input.

Also, im not too big on the trolls expression. Its mostly the eye that bothers me. What is he looking at? theres no intensity in his eye.

Update: its starting to look better and better the longer i examine it... Its growing on me somehow. i duno man!!!!!!! its still a nice pic... SWEET PIC, SWEET PIC!!!

i wish i could give critiques like that but im not artistic and dont have an eye for that stuff.
