Bridges are too short & connection-points never match high terrain?

I dont understand bridges. they seem to be so poorly constructed. i dont know what blizzard was thinking.

i'm not very experienced with doodads/destructibles and terrain, but i've been screwing around with a simple bridge i'm trying tto connect between two 3level land points and the only way i can get the bridge high enough that it looks like it blends with the land of either land-mass.. the bridge is nearly centered over the landmass.. what the hell is up with that? that's bull. what the hell good are bridges if you are nearly centering your bridge over a peice of higher land? they really screwed up with attachment points i guess.

is there some way to fool it? or am i do something wrong?

I can somewhat get a bridge to look okay if i only use go up 2 levels in land.. but it wont let units pass underneath then.

i need units to walk under bridges

also, why are bridges so short? god... their longest bridges are what i'd concider short bridges.

and what is up with those tree bridges in the lordaeron summer? how do we use that? it looks like a dead tree.. and in the editor you can faintly see an invis bridge? can these trees be connected?

actually.. can any bridge be connected?
it would be great if we could link them without having to increase land levels every couple-units wide...

Select the bridge and use "Ctrl + Page up" & "Ctrl + Page down".

WEU have a fetures so unit can walk under a bridge.

Under the advanced drop-down menu there should be an option something like reset fixed object heights. Turn that off it you want to save a lot of time.

due to wc3's single layer pathing, its impossable to get units to walk under and over a bridge at the same time. the best alternative is to use triggers so the bridge pathing disapears when a unit walks underneath it

you can connect bridges to bridges. if you turn on pathing (press p) you can see the pathing map and place your bridges accordingly.

I've never actually used a Tree bridge in a game, but for terraining purposes, set it's hit points to 0. That probably works in game as well.

I've also read using waygates to go under bridges is a good alternative.

Aside from the little effect that accompanies waygates, yes.

i've always just used triggers by putting a rect on either side of the bridge and when the unit enters either region it just moves it to the other.

edit: sorry for revive.. i was just lookin through the old ones and forgot it was old.
